Dino Thunder, Jungle Fury and R.P.M. are three of the greatest seasons of the franchise. Especially since they weren't afraid of going dark, serious and mature when they had to. Those " snowflake parents " were also the reason the Neo-Saban seasons we got were too childish, silly and toyetic.

If you watch the entire interview with David Yost, he specifically says that the harassment was mostly coming from the crew and producers, as opposed to the actors. To answer your question about inflation, $600/week in early 1993 calculates to around $1,327/week in November of 2024. Then, if you factor in the fact that the actors were averaging 70+ hour weeks, that comes out to less than $19/hour by today's rates. And of course, this was ALL before taxes.

I think Amy doesn't go to power morphicon bc she wants to separate herself from the show plus too many creeps. I feel bad for some of the female rangers bc guys get a bit in their space and too close to comfort. For example at the 2018 power morphicon in Anaheim, on Friday, 2 guys were talking to Claire Blackwelder and she looked uncomfortable (she did uncomfortable gestures). I didnt recognized Claire bc she wasnt wearing her glasses until my sister pointed it out. I asked my sister if we should rescue her. Lol. We didn't. She said she should be fine. The first time I heard of bad practices, I first heard from the ranger actors themselves. A bit of a shock. David Yost: the interview is from pink spandex. The first time I heard about the suicide attempt was from him at a power morphicon. I teared up. I hugged him.

I came across a similar incident post convention and I learned this after I attended it. Anime Expo 2009. As some of the Ranger actors and actresses, including Patricia Ja Lee (Cassie) were trying to help get PMC off the ground a bit more, UNFORTUNATELY, one so-called fan was rude and disrupted her personal space and said something that shouldn't have been said. [I am forever fortunate to have met her twice].

About the David Yost story, I'm not sure what WM said (I didn't watch their vid); but yeah, he didn't accuse anyone in the cast of saying homophobic stuff at him. However, the production crew did actually do it, and sometimes the other members of the cast would be pulled aside by the production crew to discuss Yost's sexuality. And, you didn't show the reason why he left (maybe WM didn't show it in their vid) was because "he was called a f-word one too many times and left set". Watching this interview was heartbreaking, but at least it seems his relationship with the show has rekindled since he came back to it for the Anniversary special and Cosmic fury

In terms of David Yost, the clip that got used with him talking was a full sit down that was about 40 minutes to like an hour and a half (I think) of him just being interviewed back in 2010 where he literally does a full rundown of what actually happened between himself and members of production over his sexual orientation and other things if I remember correctly were asked also. I loved the OG Mighty Morphin Power Rangers when it came out, much like yourself. When I got older, I never agreed with how badly the original cast was treated. By the second season, the original cast and crew should have been better paid if they were being underpaid. I think Power Rangers as a series would have been much more successful if the original cast remained together for as long as it was possible. (For whatever the reasons the original 5 broke up.) I'm not going to speculate on some of the drama as someone who actually has experience being an actor will know more than me. What I can say is that from watching some of your videos I can really tell you loved Power Rangers and you loved being the Red Ranger. Your dedication, genuine interest and enthusiasm shows. That effort is part of the reason why Dino Charge was so successful, alongside the rest of the cast. No need to say names but some seasons weren't that great, and its because the cast didn't really seem tuned into their roles. Thanks for providing an interesting take on Power Rangers.

What's crazy now, it's been 30 years since "The Power Transfer". I know how many MMPR fans were mad and quit watching when Zack, Jason and Trini left and don't know how many other fans still stayed on. I was baffled as a youngster in '94 puzzled by the leaving of the three in favor of the Stone Canyon trio. As I gotten older, even today at 32, it was over money and contracts over anything else. Working on Power Rangers may seem a dream job for many who want to get the foot out the door while some would internally in mentality dread it like a household chore. What Austin, Walter and Trini didn't realize before they left, Power Rangers is (and probably still) a non-union - I repeat NON-UNION - show. If Saban had went union with SAG-AFTRA, they would've been paid fairly. I still watch Power Rangers. Still care about the franchise. If Hasbro does get their things together in the next two years, I want the franchise to finally after 3 decades go complete union. It may be unlikely. Most Hollywood/SAG-AFTRA actors and studios don't care about PR and dismiss it as "a dumb kid show done on cheaps that is designed to sell action figures." Maybe they should look back on Transformers and G.I. Joe, whom Hasbro owns and made movies with Paramount now don't anymore in terms of co-financing.

Yo, Brennan, bro!!!Admitting that were dark sides to both MM & DC is agreeable at most, with Haim Saban out of the way for the moment!! While these two seasons had some scenes of own stunts, it was still perilous at worst if actors had to be hospitalized!!! By the time Ninja Steel/ Super Ninja Steel, Beast Morphers and Dino Fury /Cosmic Fury, there was more original content not taken from Super Sentai. Heck, even Power Ranger Rail Riders may still have some footage, you could view that!!! Yes, you were thrilled that the chance to meet the creator of the franchise, but with in between Seasons from Disney to Hasbro and Neo-Saban, would we have the return of good ol' David Yost for the anniversary special and half the script was his own!!!! Keep everything rolling, dude, you will get wilder seasons eventually the coming year!!!

Jokes ment to make fun of someone can be good natured without any intent other than to have a laugh with each other but jokes specifically ment to hurt a person because of a characteristic they have are cruel and demeaning.
