As a lifelong power rangers fan, I thought this movie was fucking amazing. Far exceeded my expectations. If you're not the type to nitpick movies apart. I personally had a great time with this film.

I thought the movie was fantastic up until the final act. They needed a whole movie to do the Zords justice. Should have saved it for a sequel. And just focused on doing the suit fighting right.

I agree. As a person who grew up with the MMPR, this was fantastic. Was it an award worthy film? No. But it was a step to a respectable Power Rangers universe that isn't full of the cheap effects and fights

While I enjoyed the movie and thought it was a good, new take on the original MMPR story, I wish there was more actual choreographed action. There were good throwbacks to the old stuff, but I kinda wish they brought a bit more of the old effects and whatnot. Even the first movie had more action than this. This movie was literally all build up to an end that you could easily predict and it wasn't even exciting. If there is a sequel, I hope it's an actually good action/martial arts movie.

I have no problem watching the spoilers part cause we all know what this is. Teens who don't no know each other meet in school or detention, become friends, hang out one night and find the coins, stumble upon the Power Rangers lair with Zordon, hear about Rita and how she's evil and kills rangers, train and put the suits on, then third act final battle. Elizabeth Banks seems like she's way too over the top while the kids feel real, which blows cause everyone should be on the same level. Sounds like a fun time tho

Tim really brought it with his analysis. He pointed out a lot of things that made me question how corny the show was. He talked about how the teens in the movie actually had character and problems and it made me realize the "teenagers with attitude" from the 90s really didn't have attitude. They were all pretty much Boy Scouts. Tim had some pretty cool insights.

As a 31yo who liked the original cast, I thought it was a cool, new take on MMPR and, despite some cheesy moments, the characters were decently written. That being said, I was really bummed out that it wasn't even an action movie. As rangers, they literally "fought" for a few minutes at the end (and even then, action in the suits looked entirely cgi) and then hopped in the zords and it was a cgi fuck fest. I really hope the next movie becomes more of an actual martial arts and action movie with hopefully less reliance on cgi.

This was surprisingly a good movie. I was into the show as a kid, have not cared about it since, so I was going into it with an open mind not expecting much. Definitely had some stuff that was cheesy , but I was pleased they didn't rush into the action and took time to develop each character. It has elements that brought me back to watching the show and were nostalgic for an old fan. If you have no affinity for power rangers, probably not going to enjoy it as much like Greg and Aransky.

I have literally zero connection between my childhood and Power Rangers but man, I really enjoyed this movie. It is no where near perfect but all the Rangers were well acted and I liked the cheesy music that played. Rita is my only major complaint, seeing it a second time this weekend actually

Every power ranger episode was the same from each other where it ended up on fighting a big guy with their robots. Making this into a movie franchise will struggle with changing the stakes on a sequel. I hope they're smart about this because you only get to have one first movie. Everything that worked in the first one won't work a second time.

Kimberly checked his pulse, he was dead. I believe he strangled to death, not drowned. It was strange though that it took more than one of them to carry him. Might've been more of an emotional thing though, like, "We must carry him back together".

SmoothLegend It was drowning. He spat water up when he was revived. But, it's about the group dynamic. From the beginning he was the only one all in with everyone. Which is why he's the first to morph. He felt the strongest.

Movie was good, but and I know Power Rangers fans will think this is ridiculous. They should have left out Goldar and the Zords. They didn't have enough time to make that be cool and make sense. They should have kept the conflict on a smaller scale. Maybe Rita needed to be a guidance counselor at the school. And she's like the puppet master. Trying to get them to bring back Zordon so she can kill him or something. And maybe make it personal, like their families get taken. And they need to rescue them.

I really loved the stuff without suits, the characters were awesome and the more grounded storyline with problems was so interesting. But the megazord fight was just bad, really bad. I take the show over this crap any time. To have JDF and Amy as cameos blew my mind. I really thought you'd touch on the "second" Tommy, which absolutely blew my head off. I had such a big grin on my face.

Here's a radical idea....It's 2 weeks post Colin and still the dislikes are going strong. Let's stop pretending that the dislikes are coming from random fringe community members or "the vocal minority" and accept that there is clearly a lack of confidence in Kinda Funny and more importantly a satisfaction issue with a significant group of Kinda Funny fans. Anyone who has followed the guys since the beginning (I have) will know dislike to like ratios's of this sort simply don't happen to them.....I think it is about time they addressed the issue further now and gave some closure to a large group of fans who are clearly unhappy with the way the situation with Colin was handled. Irrespective of what actually went down the guys have been far too quiet on the issue and simply saying we support him and wish him the best is not enough and it certainly is not genuine. These guys are and always have been intrinsically connected via twitter and routinely retweeted each other daily.....Now there is an absolute blackout on Colin with almost no retweets other than the obligatory, initial CLS announcement. I honestly don't have a side in this as of course I do not know what went down but when you crowd fund a company you better be sure to give the people what they want....this isn't IGN or Gamespot....Kinda Funny lives or dies by its fan's and this PR shit show is becoming Kinda 'not' Funny. I think the guys are blinded by the vocal minority of fans they interact with on a daily basis (the names you here on the shows), unfortunately unless Xyger or Amy Giles is donating $10000 each on Patreon they need to wise up and realise that the fan bubble they live in won't sustain them long when it comes to getting that pay check. Greg, Tim, Nick, Kevin it's time to man up and get out there, people clearly want information and feel because they are funding this venture they are entitled to it and as a patreon supporter myself I can honestly say the silence is deafening!

Sean Clarkin so what happens if they already have told us everything?; Colin wanted to do other stuff that wouldn't have been right on this channel and would have left him no time for Kindafunny. We already saw him far less often in videos since Colin was Right and when he was there he hardly spoke. The whole tweet thing (+ Ruben report) enabled him to see that he had enough support out there to try it on his own and have a good excuse to leave.

Personally I am confused how anyone can look at this situation and claim that this is simply a mutual parting of ways but that is my two cents. Tim really got it all wrong. Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed it. For the first 3/4s I enjoyed it for all the right reasons. The last 1/4 I enjoyed it. But for bad reasons. The last quarter was so bad it was good. The music and fight scenes and everything was just so ridiculous. It was so cheesy and corny, it was a complete contrast to even just five minutes before it. I swear to god when they played the music I actually went bright red. I sunk in my chair and genuinely cringed. Never liked Elizabeth Banks, it my god she was fucking dreadful in this. Her acting was terrible and made her cheesy lines and dialogue even cheesier.

I love you guys, but I love Colin too. I know Kinda Funny says everything's good there, but how can I believe that? All the cast had equal caliber, Zack and Trini just didn't have the same amount of screen time. All had their moments and back stories though. Kimberly was the weakest to me cause her back story and inner character felt the weakest to me. And I thought they did too much "you're the leader" stuff with Jason rather than just letting it play out organically like Captain America.

Nothing like over-critiquing a movie that was made for nostalgia's sake. Lol. I guess I just don't understand nit-picking at a movie about a TV show from the 90s. It's supposed to be campy and corny and cheesy. I'm not going to a Power Rangers' movie to see beautiful cinematography and great direction... I'm going to see something that reminds me of "the good ol' days" and feel slightly entertained. If it has anything to add to that, awesome. I don't think anyone took too seriously except for Tim and if you're a KF, I think it's safe to say you can disregard his opinions. Everyone else gave an honest and true opinion, and that's that it was just alright, which it was. As a 31yo, I was a fan of the original MMPR cast, can still watch and enjoy the original movies. I saw it yesterday, I had low expectations, and it was surprisingly decent. It wasn't great, but it wasn't as bad as Beauty and the Beast was, good god, and I only saw like 40 minutes of it,

Super heroes, new crazy villain designs every episode, repetitive morph scenes that wow the child's senses, and character lessons/development that apply to real world behaviour. That's why I was a Power Rangers fan as a kid. I wouldn't call myself a PR fan now because I'm a grown ass adult and I don't need nostalgia. That being said, I went to watch it because it's been 4 years since Pacific Rim and I need my robots fighting monsters!!

Okay. Tell me how it's not a character driven narrative when you spend the first two acts out of the suits watching these kids talk about their problems, connecting with each other, and growing as people. Sure. It's not "Oscar worthy" (as if anyone said it was). But you have to be fucking stupid to say that a movie can't be what it's aiming for, because you personally don't think it's good. For instance. I can say Citizen Kane is completely overrated or not as good as the hype says it is. That doesn't negate what the film is and cancel out the fact that it's a mystery/drama film.
