Mr. Chad, I just wanted to say thank you for your video. I watch your show every week. It doesn't matter what you are doing or working on, I like it all. You keep your show clean and I can tell you are a Christian. I'm just an old man from Alabama, retired and enjoy working on old cars and trucks. I just got a 1960 Chevy C10 that has been sitting since 1998. Again, thank you and God bless.

Sir you whooped it congrats on making it the whole way. I’ve been watching from the beginning and I appreciate all the free education you’ve provided me. I respect the backyard butchery and I’m so glad I came across your channel when searching how to use waste oil. As for the rattles in those windows, in a pinch, you can use the loop side of Velcro to pad against rattles. I’m glad the 40 treated you right because you sure treated her right. Ole Dude is a beast. As for the 6-700HP build, I’d like to see that white firebird in the background up and going. Praying for your knees brother. I’m glad life is treating you well and you’re blessed to be able to do what you love.

I've never been to any of these events, mainly b/c I'm not that fond of traffic jams or huge crowds of people either. But, that's just me, how-ever, one of the other channels I susbscribe to showed how he used his GPS to search out alternate entrance/exit gates to every venue for the entire run of HRPT. He proved it worked cuz he was able to leave & return to even the most jammed up places several times while avoiding lines every time. So if you go again, that info might prove helpful to keep your rides from overheating, & be able to hit the road sooner atfer the day is done. I hope you enjoyed it, cuz I agree, you worked damn hard to drag those two rigs there! They look great.

Rochester 2V idle circuit; Common problem with that carburetor is the heat passage in the cast iron base. The base gasket to manifold is very thin around that heat passage. When you back fire (like when your ignition wire Came off the coil) it blows that gasket. Probably why you had a high idle when entering the Speedway......Fix; Fill the passage with epoxy

Hey Chad, I have been a subscriber for some time now. I watched this week's power tour video and at the end you mentioned that you would like to build a 600 to 700 hp engine and see if it makes it thru power tour. Every week I see the Trans Am sitting there, which I love by the way. Why not build that engine ( the 600 to 700 hp one) and put it in the TA. Just a thought. Have a great day. Perry

Chad, glad you made the whole trip. As for me and mine we will never do power tour again. We only planned to do the first 2 venues.. We got to BG about 10:30 am. The line to get in was 4 miles long. My 40 was having some temp problems also. I decided to go to the hotel and try to make the midway at Nashville. Tuesday morning we joined about the front 1/3 of cars on the official route. Made it about 1 1/2 in and overheated pulled into a parking lot and watched everyone go through while the car cooled. After the last car I started to work on the fan and fixed it in about 20 mins. Tried to catch the pack and was near catching them when we took a wrong turn due to bad route directions. 18 miles round-trip detour by that time we were about 45 mins behind and still couldn't find the correct route. We were 2 1/2 hrs from home and decided to cut our losses and go home. Best drive was Hwy 70 from Nashville back home. Too many on the tour, venues too small, routes poorly planned, won't do it again.
