Taking your back foot off the ground stops the generation of ground force and forces the trunk to bend forward and not get to full extension therefore reducing power output. Try watching some shot put drills and javelin drills coach after you see these you will understand why your stimuli is limiting the explosive power of the trunk just notice the drills around 5:48 .

Is it okay for a 15 year old to do the soccer performance program? My speed and explosivness in on par with many 17 and 18 year olds but are the exercises made for people much older and stronger than me or will I be able to do them? Please answer

Love the videos! I am a 3rd year PT student who is going to into sports therapy. There is a lot of over lap in what we do. I got my CSCS last year. Why super set heavy rows with inverted rows? Seems to me that the inverted rows aren’t enough stimulus for strength, power, or hyper trophy and all it would do is gas you for your next dumbbell rows. Another question I have is whether power has the same meaning in baseball workouts as it does in weightlifting/powerlifting etc. Chest supported rows seem great for strength, but if I’m training for explosive power, I’d probably go with barbel rows, either cheating or pendelay. Final question: are these programs made for in-season workouts? I’m worried the volume here is too low to make decent progress in the off season. Thank you!
