Power Yoga with Adriene features one full class called "HEART" from our Empower Yoga Series that we shot in the hot Texas summer!
GET the full EMPOWER course: ywa.co/EMPOWER
It's sunny, it's sweaty and it is perfect for those trapped in by snow. Also just a challenging work out for those who don't like the gym or anyone needing that extra push to move it and groove it. HEART aims to get the heart rate up and invites you to sweat and get the blood pumping. A practice that invites you to open your mind and heart to new things. This "Power Yoga" sequence provides a full-body experience to connect you to your spirit, burn calories, and work it out. Connect you to your breath and get the blood pumping! This is my version of "Cardio Yoga" without all the frantic fitness frenzy!
Though this practice is swift, I encourage you to move at your own pace and listen to your body. Allow the vinyasa to move with ease and take your time growing this practice. This vinyasa fusion focuses on toning and building strength in the lower back body. Connect your feet to the earth as you build strength in the legs, the glutes, and connect to your core to support lower back health.
I invite you to arrive on the mat for this practice with an open mind and HEART.
Here are some Foundational Videos that might assist you as you practice HEART 1:
Downward Dog - • Downward Dog - Downwar...
Forward Fold - • Forward Fold Yoga Pose...
Sun Salutation A - • Video
Chair - • Chair Pose | Utkatasana
Pigeon - • Pigeon Pose - Yoga Wit...

Well, good morning Darlings... it's June 11 2023 am @5:57 am , and I did it, I made it to the end . It was very difficult as I fumbled my way through it, but I didn't give up. I am SO tired . Again, I've got advanced stage cirrhosis of the liver ,so the factthat I am able to do this much is a major accomplishment. I struggled keeping my balance and didn't have the energy to do the cardio part , so I just acted out the motions in slo mo. I didn't see Benji . But the background was breathtaking. Give my boy some belly rubs rubs I and kisses and I will see you guys tomorrow. Have a wonderful day and Namaste 🙏🏻🧘‍♀️❤️🐶🐾🐾🐾😇💎🕉🦋🌈☀️💐🌸🌷🌻🌺🌼🪻💖🎉

*Tip or way* : If you're not able to balance or founding difficulty to do it just focus with your eyes to a point it could be a point on the Wall or if you're outside search an object to focus on it. I can ensure that you will never fall again if you will do this. All the best 👍🏻

This was akin to doing Yoga on speed😅. Adrienne went so fast, which made it difficult to concentrate on the breathing but simultaneously it was really rewarding to be able to keep up. Loved it.

The first time I did this I felt the same. Now, for the past 6 months, I have been resetting the playback speed from Normal to .9. It is not a lot slower, but just enough for me to do everything.

I woke up this morning and started to dread once I saw the title and the length of the video. Against my lesser urges, I made it to the mat and resolved to commit to the video. I always have trouble with balancing postures and there’s NO way I was doing a handstand, but I sweat and felt strong and smiled throughout. I’m glad I met the challenge and met my edge, and have a stronger resolve to make it to the mat tomorrow.

😭😭😭😭 I am so proud of myself. I started YWA 1.5 years ago, and it really looked like 5-12 minute morning yoga and the odd bedtime yoga... a few times a week... Starting last June, I made it a daily weekday practice, but still stayed with my 5-12 minute choices, with the odd 20-25 minute morning yoga. Starting in January this year I did 1 YWA challenge in 6 weeks, followed by a second in 4.5 weeks, and then switching around until I popped onto June's calendar a few days late. The fact that I did this blows my mind. It was hard, but so very possible. Thank you YWA for cultivating a daily practice within me that makes me love myself vs. punishing my body. I see so much growth because of these videos and I know I have truly moved out of the beginners phase!!!!! So much gratitude.

I know I must be mad right? 😁 but I've been doing yoga continuously for 214 days now. And I'm not gonna stop, just because its a little hot. 🔥 🥵 so thank you Adriene, for always helping me to get on the mat everyday. You are awesome, Namaste my friend. 🙏🧡

I got SO close to giving up and quitting once I got about 25 minutes in. I was exhausted, out of breath, sweaty, and doubting if I could even finish, since I am new to yoga and just getting back into working out. I sat here for a few minutes debating if I should keep going. I am so glad I did! I was able to finish the whole video and felt so at peace with myself at the end. Turns out all I needed was to listen to my body and give myself a short break when it became too much. Thank you for your positivity, Adriene, for challenging me to keep going when it gets tough.

Incidentally it is cold where I am and I've been away from the mat this past days, coming back today🎉 Had that morning "I really just want to stay in bed where it is warm" vibe. I was already and hour an a half behind schedule but decided that I needed to do this for myself today and it was so worth it! I feel ready to tackle the day ahead. Good morning, it is 9:47 A.M. here in Indiana, and I am quite a newbie. At around 25 minutes, I wanted to give up. But, I am proud that I kept on with the other half of the video. Nothing for me was perfect, but I kept at it. I am so proud of myself. This will be a great video for me to do annually just to check how far along the yoga journey I would go. What was tough and challenging, turned out to be a motivation.

Today is my birthday and I am 21 years old. I was thinking for a week about a practice that I could be doing today and I was always thought that this is the right practice to celebrate my birthday with and I am super glad I did not doubt myself about my choice. My heart can never describe how my heart is feeling right now, it's warm and beautiful that at some point I am ready to take myself on a solo date, buy myself a cake and just go to my fav museum or fav bookshop or even fav café and treat myself the right way it should be. I am grateful for all the yoga practices that I have been doing for a year and half and I can't wait to make it 10 years or 20 even. I just want to give myself this moment and remind myself that I am also loved, even if it was by no one, at least I have my family and myself (I have been experiencing toxic opinions from people, telling me to not be proud of myself as much as it should be or I am just rude because I get to say no to things which results to people hate me) but all I can think of that is my nature and I am not here to please people but to harmonize my soul and heal from my past wounds. and yeah, Happy birthday to me

I have a request, please do a piwer yoga monthly series, where you teach how to do balancing poses and headstands and handstands, basically a one month practice of the tough yoga poses building up slowly while finding what feels good. Hope this comment reaches you and you do make a one month power program. Love you! I will keep an eye out for this 😘❤️

This practice was hard. Not so much physically as mentally. My goal was to stay mindful the entire time. While I managed to be present most of the time, with that came all the fears and anxieties I have been facing recently. It manifests itself in the body, and as my chest opened up all that was hurting my heart came out as well. I felt hurt, bruised, I even teared up near the end. But then I reminded myself that my only obligation was to keep breathing, acknowledge the bad thoughts and then let them go. Just breathe. Truthfully, I left this practice feeling a bit bruised up emotionally. But as the Yoga With Adriene practice has taught me, I should show kindness to my soul and body. Will be doing some massage after this and tend to my inner child. Even though this was hard, it’s nice to have your company during the practice, Adriene and the YWA community. Lots of love and light to everyone❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎

LOVE 💗 | June 15, 2023 | It's been sooooo long since this was on the calendar that I had forgotten all about those heart-pumping sequences 😅. On top of it it's not cold here (for once) but a hot summer day, so I did this inside with my fan on. Jumping jacks always makes me realize that I don't do enough cardio! It's quite a change in tempo from our Love calendar so far, and it makes it a little harder to match breath with movement and movement with breath. But the cooldown is a beauty and at the end you feel so incredibly accomplished! 🙏

Traveling out of town. Very rigorous day. Turned the heat to 78. Looked for a power yoga and found this. Just finished and this is what the doctor had prescribed. Thanks for a wonderful hour. I subscribed, gave a thumbs up, and rang the bell. See you at the next class. Thanks for sharing this.

I just want you to know, that this vid got me through some tough times as a nurse during the pandemic in Denmark. I couldn't go to my local gym, so I did this as often as I could between exhausting shifts. Now that I'm back in the gym, I find that I am much much stronger than I was. I will stick to this one. It's the best allround workout for me. Even though I mentally have had to find a way to deal with all those jumping jacks and squats ;)

Wow Adriene, this was such a great practice I feel more energized and less sluggish. It's cold here in Canada and I woke up feeling so sleepy and tired, didn't want to roll up the mat but I thought why not look up for flow, energizing practices with Adriene and this video came through and thought its perfect for today. The video is long but it literally felt like a 20 mins practice and I am glad I did it. Love me some jumping jacks -all time favorite to boost my energy. Thank you for a great practice as ALWAYS. Now I'm headed to start my day and have a warm drink. Sending you and everyone on this community love and light. Namaste.

Day 107 of the current run. Holy [expletive of your choice]! This worked me over something fierce. I was fine till the humble warrior flows. The yogic squat stuff was a huge relief to me, though cow legs are staggeringly beyond me. Also if I ever do a handstand I'm probably going to brag about it for a year and just be completely insufferable.

Adriene, I can't explain how incredible this was! It was super challenging and sweaty, yet I found myself present throughout, focusing on my breath the whole time & clearing my mind of negativity. I started doing your at home videos in January 2019 & this is for me is the first video that I felt every bit of my practice come together and I was a true yogi. Thank you so much. Namaste 🧘🏼‍♀️❤️

Oh my goodness. I have probably done about 20 of your videos (and I've done the Yoga for Equestrians about 10 times) - I felt like I could predict what sort of session I would get but NO! This was completely different. I kept thinking "What the heck are you doing to me, Adriene!?" BUT feel great at the end of it. Thanks for a great community.

Thank you, Adriene for sharing this free class! The Russian weather has done its trick of giving us two weeks of glorious Spring weather without a drop of snow in sight before plunging us overnight back into the last vestiges of full winter. I love Power Yoga even though I haven't had a consistent practice since the 30 Day Challenge because of my high intensity workouts paired with dance. I got a sweat going here for sure and I felt so calm and open at the same time. I love what yoga does for my body and soul. You're the best, Adriene! xxx

I did this workout today and wow, it knocked my socks off! It took a while to adjust to the quicker pace, but in the end I was surprised with how well I could keep up. Haven't had such a good sweat in a while! Was also able to touch my heels to the ground in downward dog for the first time today, so I'm celebrating the small accomplishment :) I've been doing a variety of your videos over the past two months after a significant break from yoga (and exercise in general) and am already feeling so much stronger and more flexible. Thanks, Adriene! xo

I started doing yoga at home to improve my balance and strength, especially during the long Michigan winters. I followed a different Yogi for awhile, then decided to try Adrienne. You are "real", you know what you're doing and explain it well. I don't feel like I'm following someone just showing off, you are really interested in your followers. We camp and I'm trying to find away to have some of these on the computer or tablet to be able to do yoga when no Data or wifi is available. Suggestions? Thank you, Adrienne, love your classes and options!

Excellent as always, As I've commented on other videos I suffer from back and neck pain from my work. It's been so painful in the past but as I do more and more of Adrienes classes the stronger I get, not just physically, but emotionally and even on a soul level. I can't rememeber the last time I had a headache or migraine so thanks again, and I'll be getting the Empower package 💪🏻👍🏻
