I'm 15 years old and I have ben doing yoga for a year and a half now. Before starting practicing yoga I had anxiety and I was very insecure about my body. Yoga taught me to love my body and appreciate every single part if it. I like to think that yoga was my 'saving' it helped me to manage most of my panic attacks. I just did this workout and it reminded me of every thing I love about yoga. Thank you! :-)

today was hard: normally showing up for my daily practice is farely easy, I just get out of bed and straight on the mat. but today my depression hit hard again; it took me an hour to get out of bed and I got staright back into bed after breakfast. but then I forced myself to get up again, I lit some insence and got into active wear: I pressed play. I did it. now an hour later I still am kind of down: In 3 years of being mentally ill I learned that it takes time to heal again, but I am feeling lighter now. Part of the negativity went away, it went away with my breath. If anyone reads this: Breathe in and out. Your breath has brought you here and it will lead you to where you are meant to be.

I found this too difficult and skipped a number of the one-legged poses but didn't beat myself up about it. I listened to my body and took what I needed. I am in my 60's, dealing with COVID-19 at work and feeling pretty exhausted but I keep up with my practice. My daughter has adopted it too for stress and confinement and is passing it on to her friends who have never tried yoga before. Even my son, a former volunteer firefighter, is doing it and is amazed how challenging yoga actually is. He used to tease me as yoga being 'an easy option' for exercise...

Oh my this was challenging as hell! But I did it through all the vinyasas and I'm damn proud of it. Switched today's Courage practice with this one, because tomorrow I'll be marching against police brutality in France, and I wasn't sure I would have the time nor the energy to squeeze a full hour of practice. But damn, did this practice gave me courage. The highest in me recognizes and bows to the highest in all of you people reading the comments. Let's stay strong, kind and united. Namaste.

This is an oldie but goodie! It's a full length class that combines slow strength movements with sweat-producing vinyasas. I actually took several breaks, pausing the video to look out the window, go to the bathroom, take a child's pose. etc). The breaks enabled me to continue with the practice and actually finish! I feel energized, strong and relaxed (wish it would last:)! Happy and Healthy 2023 everyone, and thanks to Adriene for her inspiration!

Even though I've been doing Adriene's videos for years, I haven't done this one yet I think. Full hour practices that read "weight loss" have always scared me away. 😂 But this one was really nice! It starts slowly and there are lots of invitations for breaks, which in the end I didn't even need. I'm proud of myself for being able to do this. Thank you Adriene ❤

It can feel so hard to make time for even 30 minutes of yoga, so clicking on a (nearly) 60 min practice was daunting to say the least. I'm so glad I did. This has to be one of the best practices I've ever done in the 4 years I've been practising with Adriene. I now realise that in my previous shorter practices I was really just warming up (even if a little does go a long way!) because by the end of this video I felt more alive than ever, and ready to face my day. It has inspired me to make the effort to get up earlier just to try more 60min practices. Like so many others in this community, I'm sure there'll be days when the most I can manage is 5 minutes on my mat (which is still fantastic!) but I wanted to share my experience and encourage others to be brave and bold and get on the mat for longer. Adriene, you are a shining light! Namaste x

Day 13 of courage 2020 done. This was the most difficult practice so far, due to the sadness and anxiety that overwhelmed me yesterday. I woke up feeling low as well, too much on my mind. This practice helped me a bit to ground and remembered myself to take breaks. Even in yoga, I feel to need to "compete" with myself, but now I actually took a rest in child pose whenever I needed to! THANK YOU ADRIENE, YOU ROCK.

Day 4 NURTURE! At first, I thought 'Oh hell no' seeing a nearly 58 minute practice. It was already after midday, since I had woken late--a Saturday privilege--and I wanted to get out and see if the lotus had started blooming yet. But my higher self said, 'DO IT!' So glad I did. This is such a beautiful practice. It still surprises me how unbalanced one can feel on poses that seemingly look easy. Little by little, right? Enjoy this one, even if you have to stop or rest at times. 💜

I just can not walk out of my mat without telling how important this practice was for me! Thank you Adriene!!!! So now it's been full two months of every day practice with you, and I noticed some major changes. I don't get tired even if I sweat, because I'm busy checking out my foundations, pelvis, berth, neck, hands.....you name it....everything, so no time to feel pity for myself. For the last few days I noticed that when you invite me to set an intention, automatically some word pops into my mined. Today it was "strong" and I did feel strong during the flow. My vinyasas are smoother. And today I finally understood the beauty of the downward facing dog. That happened because I moved my palms out of the mat to the flour so they were not sliding on the mat as it was constantly happening. I could really melt my heart down and breath and focus. Beautiful! And there is one more thing that happened - I started taking the experience of my practice out of my mat to the life by noticing my posture, my mood, by being more graceful in my movements. Yes, so many benefits! You are an angel, and I love you and your work so much!

I felt discouraged and sad because I had always thought I was very healthy and fit as I used to work out and swim 7 days a week. When I felt better I started doing yoga daily following Yoga with Adrienne. Now I I have recovered my body and soul, and I was able to complete this 57 min practice without problem. I'm an intermediate level power lifter and long time on and off practitioner of body building. With power lifting the moves are based on full total body engagement, range of motion, centering and flexibility Not quite as much as is needed for olympic weight lifting, but still. Attempting to squat and deadlift 400lbs or more, requires proper flexibility in order to get into proper position in order to pull or push weight along your center. Core bracing, hip and shoulder flexibility, ankle and wrist mobility, and spinal alignment are all very critical. What I'm trying to get across is that I'm not the only weightlifter using your yoga channel. And not just for recovery but also for building technique. This balance routine was by far the best combination of centering, hip flexion, and breathing while not doing too much exertion, that I've done yet. I will be using this one often it just hit all the targets. Nice hip and hamstring stretches today. I hope to find more routines like this. One of the issues power lifter do face with yoga, is that we are doing plenty of strength training and not looking to tax our legs and arms on recovery day. What we look to get out of yoga is more in the mobility, balance, and stability arenas. And for me I also enjoy the mental and energy focus. The concept of lifting the front body and grounding the back body in mountain for instance is something resonates with my dead lifting technique. So thank you. You are probably aware but there are a lot of power lifters who love your channel.

So I wasn’t feeling too up to doing this session today but I knew that it would be good for me. I knew it would be good for me physically but I didn’t anticipate how good it would be for me mentally. Yesterday I had an event from my life seriously off-balance. Instead of modifying things like I would a pose, I decided that everything had to stay the same and be perfect and at the same time I had to balance the situation that has popped up. The situation is a happy one, but being thrown off balance can result in frustration and anger. Doing this practice reminded me to smile 😃 when I am off balance and modify my life to get back into the swing of things. Thank you 🙏

If there was any video to remind me to be humble, this one is it. I don’t think I’ve ever had a practise kick my butt this way before. Though I had to take a few breaks and met my edgiest edge, I stayed on the mat the whole time. So I’d call that a little win. I tried hard not to feel discouraged, instead taking a good look at what I need to work on going forward. I haven’t done a longer video like this in a while, so maybe I need to add some of these into my routine so I can continue building strength. If you’re feeling like me (aka a little worn and beaten), don’t give up! This is just a stepping stone in our amazing journey.

The past three years I have dealt with a very dark mental block I created trying to repress memories of my family turning there backs on me when I needed them and being a Veteran it is difficult to not know how to fight a battle. He and his wife follow you every morning. So I decided to do it at as well I started with the movement is medicine and then wanted a challenge so after two days I bumped it up to this video. Going for the almost 1 hour really gets me relaxed and challenges me. And had helped me at least get through day to day with my dark past I'm dealing with. Thank you for your videos.

This is seriously my favorite practice on Adriene's channel, I don't understand why it "only" has 400K views! Others are great too, but this one is challenging, soothing and relaxing. You sweat, you improve and you commit :)

Yay! I showed up loved the practice. I didn't give up when I almost thought I would. Covid has been tremendously bad for the world. It has forced us all, to take a step back and re-think everything. For me, yoga has been the biggest takeaway. I have just started my journey, but with each day I am getting closer. Yoga teaches us, it's never to late to begin what we have neglected. Thank you Adrienne. 💓

7/365 Feeling quite anxious today and considered skipping this practice because it was "so long". I'm glad I stuck to my promise to myself and still showed up for myself. I sighed out that anxiety/those worries. Thank you so much

Taking time to lay on the mat after and enjoy the company of the comments section. I was nervous to get started on this one, as I've always had issues with down dogs and planks, but I kept pushing through and finished. I'm very proud of myself, with my verbal phrase through the practice this time being "nothing can hold me back". I managed to do a plank to downward facing dog without going to my knees first a few times, and that's a new achievement. Namaste, friends.

Day 13 of Courage. I wasn't totally feeling a longer class today, but got on the mat anyway. I am leaving the mat energized and sweaty. When I read balancing practice, I imagined lots of warrior threes, tree poses, and falling. I really enjoyed this flow, and how it wasn't what I was expecting. It confirmed the truth that you always feel better after being on your mat. Thank you, Adriene!

Thank you Adriene so much for this amazing practice. I only started practicing daily with your videos in February after having recovered from cancer and it amazes me how much your practices have helped me to build strength, stability, and self love both on and off the mat. Thank you again! Lots of love from Germany 💜

Echoing what others have said... When I saw today's practice was a full hour, I started looking at YWA's other balance videos. "I can still do balance, but I don't have to do it for an hour." Instead I decided to trust Adriene and the YWA team, and I'm so glad I did. I just finished and feel energized for my day! Adriene's right when she says "This is not your mama's balance practice." If you're hesitating, the hardest part is showing up, but it's so worth it! :) Namaste

This is the first longer yoga session for me since having covid. Had to take a few breaks throughout the video, but I'm proud of myself for listening to my body, even though it's kind of difficult admitting to the fact that I'm not as strong as I was pre covid. Sending love to all the others still struggling with the aftereffects, here's to hoping we can all work through it together

Yet another excellent practice with the amazing Adriene, as part of the April ACT playlist ! I got afraid of the unusual length of the practice but as usual, I did not feel it pass and it was over before I started to think "ouch it's getting long now". Yoga is excellent, and Adriene is the best.

Since the pandemic began, I have been doing yoga with Adriene regularly. Prior to the pandemic, I had a desk job that was causing me to become very stiff and out of shape. For this reason, I found your yoga program very rewarding. My back and knees need to become more flexible. I have recommended your program to many.

I just want to add my thanks for your generosity in creating these videos. I'm 74, been practicing for ages, and am facing knee replacement (I've had some great hiking/climbing experiences for ruining my body; no regrets whatsoever), so I have to go gently and adapt to a right knee that doesn't bend well. Your practice is perfect for me to do at home, since my old studio still doesn't do face-to-face practice inside--and even if it did, it would be very hard to adapt to VERY slowly and gently bending the knee from a straight position because of the pace of the sessions. Thank you SO much for giving me the chance to maintain my flexibility in spite of my crone-hood!

I am happy that this ACT Day 6 practice (69th Day of yoga with Adriene practice) fell on a Sunday for me. I woke up with back aches from sleeping a bit late and probably because of my Saturday night food feast with my family. Now I feel great, strong, and my blood’s flowing! I am full of energy to cap off the work week with house chores, some painting time, and time to reflect on last week and to plan the week ahead. :-) Namaste :-)

I missed this one during April’s calendar, but am ahead on May’s and really needed a practice for after work. I have been struggling with a close friend and we can only communicate over texts, so there are plenty of misunderstandings and emotions at play on both ends. This practice had me bawling just from looking at my hands, but by the time the cat-cows started, I was focused on the deepest, most connected breath I’ve had in a while. Reminded me that I can choose to breathe it out and let it go. I cannot control others, but I can control my breath. So thankful to myself for doing this, instead of a harmful activity, and thankful to Adriene for making this community possible. Namaste 🙏🏼 ❤
