Late Prime Minister Michael Manley please rest us and come to our aid and dream to us what will be right for we Jamaicans to do about ever joining the USA. Too much is taken from us already. Our Bauxite and also our financial dignity due to loosing our Bauxite to America which result into financial suffering to the people of Jamaica.

Mr Manley was unrivalled with his verbal skills, but he didn't understand that leading a country just one decade old in its political independence required greater skills than what he had displayed. I believe he was too aggressive and abrasive and could have achieve more social strides with less conflicts and confrontation. He deserves kudos for some of his social reforms but he needed greater thinking in his economic concepts some were more about emotions and popularity stunts than prudence and viability.

Michael Manley experimented with Jamaica's future in pursuit of HIS socialist ideological dreams and failed. And had to return to a capitalist development strategy, when he final came to senses and the PNP came back to power in 1989. Being a good orator and having a vision and a dream. Must take into consideration the global and geopolitical environment that you exist in. And if you wish to trade in this type of global environment, you must conform. He was foolish and unwise... And because of his radical democratic socialist agenda of the 1970's along with Castro of Cuba and Maurice Bishop of Grenada. Resulted in Jamaica losing at least a decade of development, and put us on the path to massive debts. And after that we have been in a constant struggle to regain our financial footing... Manley is primarily responsible for our decline and situation.
