Review of the new powermate PM0143250 generator. I took over 1 month and 22 running hours to review this unit, to be sure it was up to the task. The review unit was provided thanks to Pramac America.

Wow very informative and thorough review. Your eye for detail is impressive and it seems you have a surplus of expertise. I just purchased the WX3400 today and feel its very similar to the model in your video. Im feeling much better about my purchase as opposed to some reviews complaining about the engine knock. I feel that's more than likely a result of the quietness of the engine allowing other natural noises to be heard. Probably imbalanced feet or maybe a loose screw. Either way Im sure Im ready for the storm to hit Florida tomorrow. And I have much thanks to you for that reassurance. You really should keep doing what your doing your detail and thoroughness may not please all but folks like me and many others sure do appreciate it. Clapping my hands at you sir! PS. For anybody who has watched your review and may have gotten a bit soft at the end. Your mention of running the generator dry then shutting off the fuel line is a crucial thing laymen generator users need to know. As well as adding fuel stabilizer for storing fuel in the tank for extended periods. I never knew this with my first generator and ruined a $900.00 5000 watt generator by not adding stabilizer and not shutting off the gas line- with gas still in the tank. Im sure a mechanic could have fixed it but it was useless to me when I needed it most. Always shut off the gas line , run gen till it runs out of fuel (in the fuel line), and add fuel stabilizer for the remaining fuel in the tank. This will preserve the functionality of your generator for years to come. I had to learn the hard and expensive way.

Thanks for this review, I have a new one just like it and needed to know how to use it, You must be down south, I will use mine when it snows a few feet and we lose power this winter up north..

My family is primarily from the south, but I'm from Detroit. I know what you mean about snow, the polar vortex last year was no joke. I use mine to run a space heater and a few other items during winter outages. I like that it is easy on gas compared to the 5,000 + watt units. I recently did a cold start on it in 12 degree weather and am happy it didn't need any starting fluid. I keep mine topped off with a full tank and stabilizer, ready for the next outage. Thanks for commenting! Battery Geek

Really enjoyed the review. I had to smile, though, when you several times called the fuel petcock a fuel peacock. Thanks for the review.

Only 1 duplex receptacle (120v)...but an added 3 prong dryer style receptacle (30A). Great video!

They came out with a newer model. It is 3500/4375 watt design. It has handles on the box...thanks to you? It was still harder for me to get out of the box than to cary! It only has one handle, but only 1 120

Super review. You said you seen as little as 57 Hz? I take it that was when the unit was almost at full load? Those 4 in 1 displays are nice. I have a small generator that wasn't equipped with the display. I ordered one for $15 and wired it in.

great review!! I am going to purchase one. in your opinion, is it best to purchase an extension cord that is also a plug converter to make the twist lock into a 3 or 4 socket 120v house outlets, then it is to run 4 separate extension cords? thanks in advance!

It is, especially if you have a single device that uses a few thousand watts. That plug was designed to give you the full output power of the unit, while the other ones will only deliver half per bank of 2 plugs. I've purchased an adapter that convert the twist lock into a single regular outlet. Later on I hope to obtain a cord like the one you want......just have to find a good price first. Enjoy the unit!
