Was that Tania on board 5/reserve? Well, they really had everything taken care of, even brought their own commentary team. :) Congrats Team India!

It's hard to believe such a bishop could be dominant but it was. The bishop had potential that had to be taken into account while the knight was just a victim.

USSR played against the rest of the World in 1970 and 1984. Maybe in say, 2034 or 2040 they will need to play an India v Rest of the world match.

Shame Divya and Carissa Yip don't earn a GM norm simply because it was a women's event and they just didn't get paired with enough GMs to qualify. Hopefully they will get there soon enough.

Hearty congrats team India. Both men and women brought laurels to our country by winning the gold medal. May this continue and inspire many youngsters to take up the wonderful game of chess.

It has been more than 10 years since i followed powerplay chess and continue to watch the videos. Back then only Anand was the Indian player in top 10. I loved watching your analysis and have learnt a lot from those. Now after 10-12 years things have changed completely We have so many young elite players. Its feels great now. As an expert in chess and a master commentator and analyst those 10 yrs watching powerplay chess has been a great experience.

Good stuff. Sometimes games by lower rated players are more instructive than those by super GMs.

Chess tournaments without Russian and Belorussian players don't reflect the strength of chess nations. It's like the Australian Open 2022 excluding the strongest player in the world. And moreover: several Russian and Belorussian players are now playing for other nations - as it is the case with tennis. This additionally skews the score. When will this ridicilous practice end to try to do politics with sports?

They're just like Brentford FC, lucky, so no guesses who Daniel supports 😊

@@SennethLawrenceTeam India played USA , defeated them, played China, defeated them, played Iran, defeated them, played Hungary, defeated them, played Azerbaijan, defeated them, played Uzbekistan, drew with them.... secured Gold medal with a score of 21 match points out of the possible 22, the second placed Team is USA with 17 points. You can't rely on luck to defeat strong opponents one after the other as India did. Credit should be given where it's due. A true chess fan must be in awe of Team India's dominant performance at this Olympiad, irrespective of nationalities. Get well soon😂😂

I dont know on what basis you chose this game. There is hardly any good play involved.
