@ezakustam7 жыл бұрын
southrules You can be equal without being PC, oblivious, pretending that gay culture (or culture) doesn't exist, or constantly forcing your sexuality on people in inappropriate situations. If the robot were heterosexual, went on endlessly about how it liked voluptuous women, and walked like a child pretending to be the Fonz, it would be off-putting, too. Real equality means being held to the same standard. At this point, the robot is supposed to be demonstrating its processing capabilities - not telling a bunch of strangers the intricacies of its sex life. Did you really miss the entire point of the sketch? On a related note, leptitFelix22 said that if a heterosexual female robot did the same thing, everyone would be ok with it. I said: "That's a good point. But not everyone acts like the cast of the Jersey Shore. Plenty of the press would be wondering why the female office robot is being demonstrated as an obnoxious sex doll."

@@paulgage7495 yes I'm sure famously right wing SNL is making a comment on the "gay agenda" Or maybe you're insane and nobody is pushing an agenda on you. People who talk like this usually seek out things to be outraged at on the internet, and then talk about an agenda even though you're going to sources that talk about it. Actually a crazy person comment.

I love how on the nose this is. When the programmers do something obviously radical or different and then are questioned as to why they made that choice they respond "How homophobic of you to notice." As if the audience awareness of the programmers actions is reprehensible.

The point is that nobody questions the behavior of the prevalent archetype, even though it's just as obvious. Straight people say straight things.

@@ontheruntonowhere And that is what is so fun about comedy! It reminds me of the "noticing" humour of Seinfeld. "You ever notice how..."

I think it's called gaslighting. It's the same thing girls are doing in mens gyms when they wear dental floss, get men to look at them, and then say they didn't come to the gym for attention and that the men are creeps who are harassing them.
@hirokomlm131 Жыл бұрын
@@ontheruntonowhere There is no prevalent archetype for robots. That's the real joke. This is a robot with no reproductive organs and thus no attraction to anything whatsoever, so it's obvious that the company took extra measures to program gay code into the robot and are now gaslighting the audience to believe this is just what robots do and they are being preoccupied with sex for asking. Kind of like how schools are gaslighting parents about the strange things they teach to kids today.
@ontheruntonowhere Жыл бұрын
@@hirokomlm131 Or are the parents gaslighting the schools? 🤔 Regardless, a prevalent archetype attaches to the prevalent culture, not to robots. In other words, people who are anti-gay don't know how to love.
