Becky, please continue making "Baby steps by Baby steps" videos for students like me who struggles with technology. Thank you very much, you are the best teacher.

This really is a great video. I was struggling with a file and remembered you had this ad a reference. KZbin needs more current Embrilliance videos so you are filling a need.

Oh wow! What an amazing teacher! clear step by step instructions! You not only control all the technology for creating the block, but you also control the technology to create an impecable youtube experience. You were so clear without overwhelming us with excessive explanations of every single thing these machines can do. Wow. What an inspiration for me. You are truly a master at your craft. Thank you so much for your videos.

Hi Becky! I'm very excited to follow you creating Amy Bradly's Christmas quilt using the Snapplique. I took this lesson "Baby Steps- Ghost " using the Santa in the Christmas Santa. I took my finished PES design to my sewing machine but it says the design can't be used. I have not idea what I did wrong and was wondering If. you have any suggestions. I have been following you for years and have learned so much from you.
@PowerToolsWithThread5 ай бұрын
Is the design too big for your hoop? If so, then your machine can't 'see' the design. For the body, you'll probably have to use a domestic sewing machine to stitch that on. Then do multi-hoopings for the remainder of the parts and pieces.
@helenekempf92245 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for your quick response. I did make the design smaller to fit a hoop but it still could not be used. Will you be going over this when your tutorials start?

I am working on this design. First time using my Embrilliance and Stitch Artist in this capacity. When I go to draw the smile, I change the square to a circle and select draw with points. Then I lose my cursor!?!? If i scroll up its on the top and if i scroll to the left there is the cursor. But i cannot see the cursor on my mat! Can anyone tell me if i am missing something? Thank you
@PowerToolsWithThread4 ай бұрын
Try the Bezier tool - 2nd one in on the Drawing Tools. Don't hold down the cursor. Just click on one end of the smile, then the other, then hit enter.

Thank you. I realized after i walked away from it that i may have been trying to create the smile on the jpeg. Crazy!! But thank you I have learned so much!

can you explain that voodoo magic you just did by tieing your thread to change color and pulled it through needle? what type of knot did you do?
@PowerToolsWithThread6 ай бұрын
I tied it in a simple knot - like when you tie your shoe. I did not pull the knot through the needle. I unthreaded the needle, cut the knot away and rethreaded the needle.

The "weld" information was great! Thank you! I am curious though... when you reconstructed your lines it changes the way the embroidery stitches out because the lines will be different than the fabric lines you cut out. Is there a way to make your new embroidery placement lines into new fabric cut lines so everything lines up correctly?
@PowerToolsWithThread7 ай бұрын
None of the shapes change and everything already lines up correctly
@FranManess-kv1ku5 ай бұрын
I was wondering the same thing but I realized you're recreating the whole file digitally so your cut file and embroidery file will match. If you're concerned, use the placement stitch as your cutting line by sending that back to your scan n cut or printing it out and scanning the print file. Becky--does this make sense? I'm new.

Can someone explain "broken stitches".
@PowerToolsWithThread7 ай бұрын
I talk about broken graphics. These occur at the company who created the commercial pattern. I cannot see them, but the scanning cut can. if the graphics are not connected on the pattern, then they are lines instead of shapes. To become appliqué, the lines must be fully connected to become a shape.
@catherinegagnon25107 ай бұрын
@@PowerToolsWithThread thank you. Next on my learning is how, if SA did not create applique stitches, to create them like you explain. I still have weird extra or not where they should be applique stitches on my ghost eyes/lids. Any other tips?
