Are Merit-Earning activities locked behind systems under the pledged PP control or that the pledged PP is attacking? Or is there a way to earn Merits on other PP controlled systems?

I think most merits are local but you can also get merrits for combat with enemy power on their turf. Or for changing signes at stations on their turf. So both.

@@AtlasRandGaming it would be cool for a video tutorial on ways to get merit thru different activities besides the Rare Commodities Farm. Dunno if is something you have plans to do.

Problem is I'm still learning this stuff so don't know "the best" yet... other parts of the game I've done for 5500 hours so easier to do training vids on.

It seems like mined goods need to be mined in the same system they're sold to give merits. Not sure on the bonus bonds.

ok was wondering about this... so you tested this or just read it? With Arissa no longer giving a bonus for Thargoid kills I'm really starting to see the bio bonus research guy Antal may actually be the best one for people making $. Or Mahone but Li Yong Rui has the same bonus plus exploration and free rearm.

@@AtlasRandGaming I did some basic testing myself, and one other did the same. This will probably bias towards core mining, since that doesn't take the same overlaps and such.

Seems a bit stupid that Explorers can get data from across the galaxy and turn it in for merits and you can't go mine in an other system to sell it in one of yours to get merits, especially since explo data you get the same value anywhere but mining you need to find a station willing to buy and hopefully at a good price... Praying it's a bug and not by design... Hopefully someone reaches high enough rank to test the bonus to mining to see if it's only mined goods, or if bought minerals get the sell bonus too, and if it's a bond or you just see better price directly at the station, because if the ladder it's gonna mess with EDMC commodities prices...

I’ve tested with Nakato and no, it didn’t seem to work. 9 tonnes of Monazite didn’t give anything. I don’t know if it’s bugged or what, I’ve submitted a ticket and will update if I remember to do so. Also, overlaps were reworked quite a while back. Overlaps will never be better then being the the center of a hotspot.
