Got a folding stock and an MTC Viper Connect on mine , tightened the hammer spring but I am only getting about 5ft lbs, I think it has something to do with pressure in cylinder when full , but power spikes when the pressure drops , awesome pistol in my opinion. Cheers.

Read above, you need to play with the regulator (something I forget to mention in the video) to get more power out of it. Sorry to say, but typical SMK quality control, but other than that, awesome pistol for the price.

Theres an allen bolt just in front of the trigger , bit fiddly too get to , forget which way to turn it but there will probably be a vid somewhere in KZbin land advising .. ( the hammer spring tension and the transfer port adjustment make very little difference in power )

@@VinCent-xy5lg You'll need to remove the trigger guard for easier access ... I adjusted mine with the air cylinder charged ( it was half full I think ) . Adjusting the regulator when charged seems too go against whats advised on many channels ... although I didnt seem to affect it when I did it ... got too rebuild mine anyway because it leaks .. new seal kit £10.99 if ever you need one ( bagnell & kirkwood )

I have the 700W, great pistol 5.5 ft-lbs dead on. A couple of points Steve, the PPS 700W is quieter , the shroud acts as a better sound reducer as the barrel is a touch shorter than the SA. You can also adjust the regulator on both by removal of the trigger guard. Gregor Kamensek did a good review on the adjustment 13:50 into his video.

Looks interesting as a toy for short distance indoor shooting during winter. And luckily we have the same limit of 17J for rifles and pistols, so I don’t need to worry if it’s slightly higher in power.

Great review Steve, I recently bought the PP700W and was very pleased with the accuracy, mine does feel low powered though and as I don't have a chrony yet I am not touching it, I will be getting one very soon though so I can bring it up to just under 6FT/Ib but until then it's staying under powered. I fitted an Enfield 2-7x32 scope on mine and it looks awesome with 1cm groupings at 8 meters is almost pellet on pellet. For less than £200 it's the best pistol I've bought in ages and I do have alot of them, most being co2 replicas. Must say here thought the cp1 and cp2 are excellent target co2 pistols with fantastic accuracy and I have both of those. Another very surprising accurate co2 pistol is the new Webley Nemesis but these little pcp's are second to none. Happy shooting bud.

Mine was puttning out just over 13ftlbs so it needed some adjustment. 😊 I am making an adapter later today to be able to check and adjust regulator pressure, also looking in to the possibillity of mounting a gauge to monitor and make it possible adjust regulator pressure on the gun without taking it apart.

Nice, when I get one, that's my plan, surely with stock/ scope and moderator fitted, it should be viewed as a rifle and not a pistol, hence it would be near impossible to shoot as a pistol with a rifle scope fitted then enjoy a bit more poke for pest control in a compact package.

Great photography! Just saw a UK advert for one of these stating vendor has modified it to 10.5 ft/lbs with the shoulder stock, claiming its legal :-D They can be easily modified to around 17 ft lbs with a screw but I don't recommend it. I'm buying one before the ban them!

EXCELLENT pistol , had mine for over a year .. mine was chronographed at 9ftlb when purchased, the spring tension was wound all the way OFF .. so I couldnt adjust down the power by that means ( up yes ) .. what you have too do is get the appropriate allen key and turn either anti clock / clockwise the allen bolt which is situated in front of the trigger ( attached too the regulater .. bit out of the way and hard too see , do it when EMPTY .. tell ya something .. it go's with a right bang when hiked up , the seal / seals have gone now , ive a new set too put in ... and I turned it down in power ... Super pistol ... HIGHLY recommended ... just need too re-seal it now .

Yup Mark, this is the problem with SMK, they don't give a feck about the customers, UK market or our rules and so just ship them out. It is then up to the RFD to make sure all is correct and legal. I would have had a right go at the stall in the NEC for allowing you to walk away with an illegal pistol.

Take the grip off and turn the hammer tension screw and it can be put very close to 12 ft lb which in 177 is around 800 ft/s. A tad illegal in the UK, but know people that have put on the optional stock and silencer and turned it into a great little single shot rifle.

Both can be used to tune the power. There is also a grub screw for adjusting the transfer port. Spring determine how much air get out and regulator determine what pressure that air is coming out of the bottle.

Can't remember mate, sometime since I did the video, but about 30 - 40 shots. Won't take much time to pump, but don't have a hand pump so can't tell you. Work out the Cylinder size compared to your normal rifle and do the maths to give an indication.

Why supplied at 4.5 ft lb? There is a reason for that. That will release a typical 177 at just under 500fps. Which is what 10M Competition pistols do. There is a reason for that. It has to do with the volume of the barrel. Releasing excess gas after the pellet has left the muzzle tumbles the pellet. Target shooters find that really annoying. A good moderator or muzzle brake should increase velocity of the pellet by trapping and deflecting that excess gas. A pistol is not for hunting, it's for putting every shot in the 10 at 10 metres. So seeking more power is counter productive. In fact for a target pistol less is more. We want tighter grouping and for that we also need consistent fps from the regulator. This air pistol has a regulator. A regulator will always drop the ultimate energy. It pays to play with the regulator to get the best grouping. The chrono will help monitor the variation in fps. This is fair use and ought not void warranty. A CO2 can self-regulate. The vapour pressure remains constant at a given temperature. By setting up the valve as a pressure regulator it can release the same quantity of gas irrespective of temperature; a balancing act, the same fps. But you will get less shots per capsule when it is cold. Again by tuning the pistol to a little under 500fps, about 4.6 ft lb, but not trying to increase energy. In summer I could get some 65 well regulated shots (spread of

@@airgunology I heard about the UK 12 ft lb limit. But 6 ft lb is just too weak to hunt with. I wouldn't want to shoot a rabbit with a 6 ft lb gun. Most likely it's gonna get wounded and die off somewhere else. 12 ft lb would be the minimum to hunt with. Anything lower than 12 ft lb is for paper targets.
