ഞാനന്ന് കാസർഗോഡ് കോളേജിൽ ബി എ ( ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്സാഹിത്യം.) ക്ക് പഠിക്കുന്ന കാലം. ഒരു ദിവസം ഡിപ്പാർട്മെന്റിലേക്ക് ഒരു ചെറുപ്പക്കാരൻ അധ്യാപകൻ കടന്നു വന്നു. നീണ്ടു മെലിഞ്ഞു സുമുഖനും സുന്ദരനുമായ ചെറുപ്പക്കാരൻ. തികച്ചും ഗൗരവപ്രകൃതൻ. സുകുമാരൻ, ആരോ പറഞ്ഞു. സുകുമാരൻ സാർ ഞങൾക്ക് ക്ലാസ്സ്സെടുത്തിരുന്നില്ല. ഒരു ദിവസം ഞങ്ങളുടെ ക്ലാസ്സിൽ വന്നു. ഒരു മുഖവുരയും കൂടാതെ ക്ലാസെടുത്തു. വിഷയം :അമേരിക്കൻ ലിറ്ററേചർ . നല്ല ക്ലാസ്സ്‌. അധ്യാപകനെന്ന നിലക്ക് അതാണ്‌ ഞങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യത്തെയും അവസാനത്തെയും ക്ലാസ്സ്‌. അടുത്ത വർഷം അദ്ദേഹം മറ്റേതോ കോളജിൽ പോയെന്നു കേട്ടു. പിന്നെ സിനിമയിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചെന്നു കേട്ടു. നിർമാല്യമാണ് ഞാൻ കണ്ട സിനിമ. വെളിച്ചപാടിന്റെ മകൻ. ക്ഷുഭിത യൗവനത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീകം. പിന്നെ ഉത്തരായനം. പിന്നെ ഹീറോ ആയി , വില്ലനായി തടിച്ചുരുണ്ടു മറ്റു പലതുമായി . പക്ഷെ കാസറഗോഡ് കോളേജിന്റെ പടി കടന്നു വന്ന വെളുത്തു മെലിഞ്ഞ ആ ചെറുപ്പക്കാരനെ പിന്നീടൊരിക്കലും കാണാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല. ഇനിയൊട്ടു കഴിയുകയുമില്ല സുകുമാരൻ സാറിനെ അനുസ്മരിച്ച മല്ലികാമ്മ ക്കും ജോണി ലുക്കോസ്സിനും അഭിനന്ദനം
