You shouldn't spread misinformation or tell the patient anything that will harm them. And you should teach the best practices for care to future generations. He is defacing both of these for spreading blatant misinformation that is harmful not only to his patients but now the general public.
@emiliedailleurs8507
@emiliedailleurs8507 3 жыл бұрын
Haruhiro Grimgar Thank you for sharing the codes, I was just about to post them. There are also ethics related to the limits of your professional competence. Dr. Marmer’s claimed expertise, based on his UCLA webpage, include a host of mental health problems (including abuse and trauma, which makes the above even worse). However, he claims no expertise in developmental psychology and I was unable to find any of his published works relating to his theory of “five signs of maturity”. So in the PragerU video, he blatantly abuses the limits of his professional competence. Furthermore, it is also unethical to use your professional title in a way to incorrectly promote a level of authority or knowledge. Given that he presents himself as an expert, and does not use “my opinion is” language, this is another violation.

ah yes, let's use this quote to counter the owl house: “Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” ― C.S. Lewis

Shin Seung Not applicable bro i'm a psychology major and I've studied the shortcomings of both psychology and psychiatry and what I said is pretty accurate. Blame the lack of a single payer medical insurance system for it. Edit: If you want to read a book about my statement, try reading "Saving Normal". It's written by the Psychiatrist that was in charge of leading the team that wrote the DSM-IV. He very clearly outlines that psychiatrists are incentivized to diagnose on the first appointment because insurance won't pay otherwise, and they are further incentivized to prescribe by Big Pharma.

LEFTY SOY BOY Funny how pedos online tried to get into the LGBT community, only to be fully rejected and shat on, and now we see so many MAPs who are far right, often neo-nazi or white supremacists, anti-LGBT, and so on. It’s also the right that has repeatedly blocked attempts to ban child marriage in America, and the right that consistently wants to lower the age of consent. Hey remember that time right wingers boycotted a company for revoking support of a show whose host supported a Republican pedophile? I love how you dumbfucks accuse us of harbouring pedophiles, whilst ignoring that right wing institutions are infested with pedophiles, and most of the 1% are right-leaning or far right. Go on 4chan, or 8chan, look at how many far right pedophiles there are. What about Q? The guy who founded that shit? Pedophile and owner of 8chan. The right is full of projection.

So does this guy realize that sometimes in order to “take control” of your life you need to do things like protest against the injustice in the system that’s holding you back? If protesting is necessary in order to remove systemic barriers that prevent you from taking control of your life then doesn’t that make it mature by the standard that this guy outlines. Also protesting is the opposite of not doing anything so why would those two things be equated as both being immature. You can see yourself as victim while also taking action to prevent your victimization in the future. Also I’m guessing that this guy wouldn’t hesitate to play the victim card if he thought if would benefit him just like PragerU and Fox News play the victim card with stuff like the War on Christmas narrative. This is ridiculous, but I suppose that I shouldn’t be surprised.

Okay, serious comment this time. "Containing emotions" is the very thing I did most of my life and it led me to heavy depression and a lack of proper emotional intelligence. I never got mad not because I wasn't capable of anger, but because I didn't know how to, which would lead me to respond horribly when I was finally pushed over the edge. My therapist is trying to help me regain that sense of understanding and control. It's... hard, but I'm finally not responding to confusing emotions by wishing to just die.

I am autistic, I live in Germany, I have had at least 5 diffrent therapists in my life, and never once did I hear this absurd "cONtAiN yOuR eMOtiOns" garbage. This is the exact opposite of real life. Therapy was always ALWAYS done by me not being ashamed of showing my sensitive side. Opening up to my therapist about strange problems I had, that I used to be kind of embarrased of, that my parents didn't take seriously,... that was literally the main reason why I was able to figure out and solve so many problems with my mind. Abusive people in my life who told me to shut up, stop being sensitive and contain my emotions were literally the cause of most of my problems. This kind of insensitive thinking was the main reason why it took YEARS for my parents to accept my disability, and one of the main reasons I now still suffer from intrusive thoughts. So not only is PragerU teaching people about a dumb, authoritarian and utopian ideology that only helps the super wealthy, they're also making people mentally ill now. It makes me fucking furious thinking about how much damage these scumbags are causing.

We should also abolish the congress while the North Korean parliament is de-facto just a puppet of the Kims we should still be sure and abolish the congress so that it can never be used as a puppet. While doing that we should also burn all flags and statues of politicians and countries because North Korea also has that. I think having a language we write in could also lead to cultural-marxism because the Soviet Union had a language. The left-wing has politicians so we should also abolish all politicians so that we can be sure the liberal far-left cultarl marxist actual fascist can never rise to power. To insure that they will never get to power we should also consider killing humanity.

18:00 alternately, there is a phenomenon of "empathy fatigue" that develops among healthcare providers, where they go from being altruistic and eager to help others early in their careers, then become jaded and cruel later in life.

its like adventure time in which its aimed towards adults but its also gotta tone some stuff down because its on cartoon network and they cannot traumatize children by showing people being murdered unlike SOME shows and movies (monster house has traumatized me for years :(. )

He also rehash the same BS about victimhood. But of course much like personal responsibility that they don't take. Victimhood seems to be okay when it applies to them. Because they often times scream victimhood the loudest. I mean look how they compare wearing a mask to slavery. Or when they scream cancel culture but they're just angry because their racism and bigotry has been called out.

im currently being treated for OCD, general anxiety/depression, and ADHD. a major part of that is taking responsibility for improving and holding yourself accountable for progress. and it’s safe to say that this “personal responsibility” shill is garbage. take this mans license away.

The emphasis with "Personal Responsibility" is paying society back for the mistakes it thinks you made. You're only accountable to norms and conformity.

It’s funny how this guy claims that maturity is like... not speaking up for yourself and following all orders you’re told. like that’s literally what children are told to do by their parents.
