You shouldn't spread misinformation or tell the patient anything that will harm them. And you should teach the best practices for care to future generations. He is defacing both of these for spreading blatant misinformation that is harmful not only to his patients but now the general public.
@emiliedailleurs85073 жыл бұрын
Haruhiro Grimgar Thank you for sharing the codes, I was just about to post them. There are also ethics related to the limits of your professional competence. Dr. Marmer’s claimed expertise, based on his UCLA webpage, include a host of mental health problems (including abuse and trauma, which makes the above even worse). However, he claims no expertise in developmental psychology and I was unable to find any of his published works relating to his theory of “five signs of maturity”. So in the PragerU video, he blatantly abuses the limits of his professional competence. Furthermore, it is also unethical to use your professional title in a way to incorrectly promote a level of authority or knowledge. Given that he presents himself as an expert, and does not use “my opinion is” language, this is another violation.

ah yes, let's use this quote to counter the owl house: “Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” ― C.S. Lewis

So does this guy realize that sometimes in order to “take control” of your life you need to do things like protest against the injustice in the system that’s holding you back? If protesting is necessary in order to remove systemic barriers that prevent you from taking control of your life then doesn’t that make it mature by the standard that this guy outlines. Also protesting is the opposite of not doing anything so why would those two things be equated as both being immature. You can see yourself as victim while also taking action to prevent your victimization in the future. Also I’m guessing that this guy wouldn’t hesitate to play the victim card if he thought if would benefit him just like PragerU and Fox News play the victim card with stuff like the War on Christmas narrative. Okay, serious comment this time. "Containing emotions" is the very thing I did most of my life and it led me to heavy depression and a lack of proper emotional intelligence. I never got mad not because I wasn't capable of anger, but because I didn't know how to, which would lead me to respond horribly when I was finally pushed over the edge. My therapist is trying to help me regain that sense of understanding and control. It's... hard, but I'm finally not responding to confusing emotions by wishing to just die.

I am autistic, I live in Germany, I have had at least 5 diffrent therapists in my life, and never once did I hear this absurd "cONtAiN yOuR eMOtiOns" garbage. This is the exact opposite of real life. Therapy was always ALWAYS done by me not being ashamed of showing my sensitive side. Opening up to my therapist about strange problems I had, that I used to be kind of embarrased of, that my parents didn't take seriously,... that was literally the main reason why I was able to figure out and solve so many problems with my mind. Abusive people in my life who told me to shut up, stop being sensitive and contain my emotions were literally the cause of most of my problems. This kind of insensitive thinking was the main reason why it took YEARS for my parents to accept my disability, and one of the main reasons I now still suffer from intrusive thoughts. So not only is PragerU teaching people about a dumb, authoritarian and utopian ideology that only helps the super wealthy, they're also making people mentally ill now. It makes me fucking furious thinking about how much damage these scumbags are causing.

While doing that we should also burn all flags and statues of politicians and countries because North Korea also has that. I think having a language we write in could also lead to cultural-marxism because the Soviet Union had a language. The left-wing has politicians so we should also abolish all politicians so that we can be sure the liberal far-left cultarl marxist actual fascist can never rise to power.
