@@legaltowter9811 Because it makes it easier to hurt people. But just because they have such weapons that doesn't mean they should. Vaush explained this before. The police should only detain people breaking the law and carry them to a courtroom, which is an institution that's actually built to settle legal cases and decide appropriate punishment. If cops can legally kill people, they're judge, jury and executioner in one person, which is highly authoritarian and gives them the power to kill without fair trial. There's a reason democratic countries distribute power between the three seperate branches. It's to prevent shit like this.

@@MrTooEarnestOnline my man...digging deep. Good shit. Don't forget that this whole 'just work a hard days work' is, in and of itself, just a really bad argument on so many levels. We can look at this 2 ways. First, having a job is not equivalent to having a living wage. Just because a person has a job doesn't mean they have the money or resources to do normal things, like have enough for rent, let alone another mouth to feed. People work 2 jobs and still scrape by. When it's said that 'crime is the easy way', yeah it sure the hell is. Working 60-70 hours a week to still panic when rent comes due is legitimately less humane than pretty much any petty crime. Now let's look at ol' roofers big brain. If everyone got up, stopped surviving on crime, and got a job that suits their skillset, would they take YOUR job, buddy? Roofing is, no offense, a zero skill job. It's hard as shit in terms of the environments effect on your workload, but besides that, anyone, including ex cons, can be a roofer. Even disregarding what you do for a living, where would all these jobs come from? There are more people than jobs, easily. And to my first point, a gross percentage of these magically appearing jobs that criminals would fill would PROBABLY NOT OFFER A LIVING WAGE.

I think everyone who are really opposed to universal healthcare and other "socialist" programs should have to be forced to live the life like an American who needs or would benefit hugely from those programs. So everyone who thinks universal healthcare is wrong just because it is socialism or whatever should be given a huge debt that they need to pay off monthly while feeding even a one kid on below average salary. I am not saying these programs are the best or that they could not be improved but hating something just because it came from the mouth of someone you don't like is not smart. You can agree on certain topics with people you despise. Not liking communism doesn't mean you cannot think that universal healthcare is good for everyone.

A friend of mine's father was a law-abiding citizen who also served the country in the military. On the way back home one day, already retired and of age, he witnessed two officers murder a mentally ill man who had his hands up and was unarmed. Being the law-abiding citizen that he was, seeing the unjust murder of someone's family member, he decided to testify against the police for the murder they had committed. So then these gang member thugs decide to retaliate against my friend's father. The day before he had court to testify. They raided his home and found a computer with child pornography. Strangely enough, that household did not own a computer. This man could barely set contacts on a flip phone. Where did this computer of child porn come from? Surely these men of honor who uphold the law didn't plant it there? These pieces of shit also took photos, from family photo albums where any child may be nude as most families have embarrassing pictures like this in their possession. Now this man's life is permanently ruined and labeled publicly, on our local facebook, as a collector of child porn. FUCK THE POLICE.

I do hope Americans get the police reform because of my god is the situation bad. There are cops who train 6 months maybe even less and they are given guns. the police here in Finland train for years, I think it is 3 years. I would think there is also revision from time to time so you don't forced how to safety use a pepper spray or something just like security guards have to go to training revision every year. American polilce suck at de-escalating situations. In some clips they actually make the suspect more angry or terrified leading to actions no one would have done had they talked to the person with respect and understanding.
