It is the only place that I have visited that I am compelled to return to. It is an absolutely magical city. My wife and I visited in the month of February, and it was very cold! Our next visit will be in a summer month. The architecture of Prague is stunning, as is some of the interior plasterwork of most of the old buildings. I would recommend a visit to all and sundry.

I went there for 1 day as a stop of for my InterRail trip of Europe only saw it of a dark really and had to get the train back to Germany the next morning. I will visit again one day and spend a few days to explore it.

Praha je nadherne mesto! Uz som tam bol 2x a mozno by som tam este niekedy isiel. Vylet v Prahe bola bol pre mna ten najlepsi moment v mojom celom zivote. Vsetkym Prahu odporucam!! In English (just in case): Prague is a beautiful city! I"ve been there 2x and maybe I would like to go there again sometime. The trip in Prague was the best moment in my whole life. I recommend Prague to everyone!!

You are right, as a czech living in Prague i always advise my friends from other countries to ask locals for normal czech pub or restaurant and not go for "tourist" traps. There are sadly still a lot of people trying to get more money. Always check the prices wherever in the world you go !

While I was in Prague, I did not know how to use tram system, which I mean when to pay, then I jumped to ride , then soon secret police asked me to show my id ,and took fine. I don't remember how much was it, but it was my bitter experience. If someone from Prague are those people are genuine police? or Was I deceived?

kinmokusei2222 , No, you weren't deceived. This is how (or was how) it is done in a lot of Easternish European cities. Berlin had the very same system, but fortunately we were told in advance how it was done. They like to think of it as based somewhat on the honour system; and to prove that people can police themselves to do the right thing. I found it refreshing, but do not feel embarrassed, many tourists do not know this custom, and as such, nobody thinks less of a person who just didn't know because they misunderstood. The fine was a pittance, no?

@philpara1 profitable places are always crowded with cheap crap everywhere :( But you can find some guides on internet that will lead you to places, visitors dont go. People always go to Castle, Charles bridge and to see astronomical clock. Well, there are many same bautiful sights

It's such a safe city, you can walk the streets late at night anywhere without feeling intimidated or scared. By the way, the astronomical clock it's just a waste of time

They are not police but they check tickets, they have badge of company that runs all the integrated prague system (trams, subway, buses). I think the fine is about 1000 Kč (40 Euro). Sorry that happened to you, the best way is to buy 3day ticket for tourists.

@philpara1 You are right, the problem is Prague is much more visited than other cities and places, even if they are beautiful as well. So these people who want to earn from tourists in every way concentrate themselves in Prague, and this wonderful sometimes seems to me a bizzare place somewhere else, not in my country. Try Brno, Olomouc, Hradec Králové and other cities where you can enjoy the real atmosphere of Czechia, not a post-Communist, wild-Capitalist jungle where all authenticity is lost.

Not bad video. But I think that Prague is much more than just historical buidings-and many of them aren't here presented. Especially night life. If you like going to theatres, clubs(very good and cheap beer btw) etc., you will surely find your way how to entertain yourself. And this you just can't get in 10 miutes. Czechs are maybe a little bit colder, but if you give them a chance, you'll find that they are friendly :-)
