Sanjeev - Thank u for showing how to devein the prawns/shrimps. I feel sick when I see many presenters of prawn/shrimp recipes do not know this important way of cleaning the fish. Actually devein is confusing to many people. In this case devein means removing the alimentary canal full of faeces not removing a 'vein'. Using scissors is imperative and very convenient to clean this marvelous fish.

Been watching Sanjeev sir since 1993 when Zee TV has just started airing with like 4 to 5 shows per day and Khana Khazana was one of those. Sony TV didn't even exist and Star Plus was known as Star TV back then with only English or American shows with lots of sex and nudity. Zee Tv was the only channel in the Satellite Cable TV pioneer. Sanjeev sir was younger, handsome with moustache.haha But this was the exact same manner he cooked delicious food like these while talking to us viewers and giving some life lessons. It hasn't changed even now after 25 years which is amazing. Much Love and Respect to India's first TV chef.
