Please don’t be sad. I Know it’s expensive but your vids have been amazing and have made a big difference to many lives. I’m an ex serviceman and have struggled if I’m honest. You have made a big difference to my life and it makes me happy to see your videos. I can’t wait to see your next one. Keep them, coming. Thank you. I really mean that.

Hey! Get the most out of the worst! I'd make a couple videos of the engine teardown showing the damage for example... I (at least) find it very interesting watching those type of videos. Cheers and hope to see you better than ever for 2025💪🏻💪🏻

That was an emotional rollercoaster of a video. Seeing your joy when driving the A3 race car to the season finale at your local circuit was so uplifting and incredibly cool. Leading the race was awesome but we knew something bad was about to happen. Thanks for the awesome and inspiring videos this season, to be 3rd with the terrible luck you have had is testement to your skills as a driver and the support of your team. Hope you can rebuild it stronger for next year and reclaim your title.

Sorry to see it end with an engine failure, got that T-shirt unfortunately. Such a commanding lead, to minimise failures might be good to consider not using the over boost button on every lap, prolong the engine life abit more. Good luck with the rebuild!

Wow, 3rd place and congrats for that, but it is indeed a sad day for you, your vehicle and the rest of us who watched your race. It would be nice however, if you can show some engine work and possible cause of failure in a next video, whenever you might feel ready for it.

Too bad. But it happens. One upside though, its nice to see the diffuser doing its work with the spray of rain coming from behind the car, so thats a plus. A few tweaks there and it might even generate more downforce.
@TeamPrawnRacing2 ай бұрын
This is a very good point. At the wettest section through church you can really see it working!
@vwfan200122 ай бұрын
@TeamPrawnRacing exactly. On a circuit a good overal grip will get you more race wins than just a high top speed. With a little more research and upgraded versions you can generate even more downforce.

How many miles of pure madness have this engine done before braking ? This is sad and i totally feel your pain

This engine ran for 2 seasons, we believe it died due to a mechanical over rev earlier in the year which started a slow process of dying!

Awful luck that. What’s the power output compared to the other cars on the grid? Looks a good few hundred hp more than everything but the red civic.

Misery when an expensive part of the racer is finnish, but 600hp in a club racer in a championship for classic tourers? The costs of running that car must be quite high😔
@TeamPrawnRacing2 ай бұрын
Yea, sadly the running costs on something like this are pretty bonkers. Half the Thunder grid are in the 5-700 bhp range, so there's a good number of others mad enough to try club racing at such silly outputs, I'm not alone 😂
@gothicpagan.6662 ай бұрын
@TeamPrawnRacing Wonder if the organisers by reducing the amount of aero. surface permitted and limited tyre sizes, would be enough to limit the usable power, there by bring the power No's and costs for an entire championship down?
@adematthewsracing2 ай бұрын
@@gothicpagan.666 Good thing with UK racing is there is a large variety of series and championships so those that want big power and aero and those that don't have a decent range of options. Personally I'm not a fan of splitters, flat floors, diffusers etc.
@TeamPrawnRacing2 ай бұрын
To be honest, the big draw to Thunders is the absolutely Bonkers nature of the cars that are attracted by having very few limits. I wouldn't be in favour of any changes which tried to limit that, regardless of the costs. There are plenty of other cheaper places to run cars for those who'd rather build to a rule book. If anything, tyre size and home made aero are probably the cheapest route to lap time when compared to the sequential gearboxes and fancy suspension seen on many other cars on the grid.
@gothicpagan.6662 ай бұрын
@TeamPrawnRacing I know what your saying. Thinking of bringing out an old Wendy Wools period space frame Imp. About 17k into an all steel 1200cc injected 12k rpm screamer still only 140 on the dyno🙂 Should have gone the turbo route Least the tyres will last😆
