As someone new to Orthodox, which one would you recommend I read first? As a baptist I am so glad to have found your channel. It is as if this is the missing piece of the puzzle. So sad. This has nothing to do with Fr. Spyridon's video but i had dear friends from Bulgaria at an Orthodox church out here. The wife's father had been a physician.. And he was called to go to someone's home in the middle of a dark night. Rainy...everything. He and his horse started out and somewhere along the way the horse refused to take another step. Then the doctor realized that the bridge he had to cross had been wiped out. The horse saved both of their lives. I don't know how he got to the home he was needed at, but i know i give glory to God. Bulgaria was officially atheist then. I don't know about her father's faith, but i know that she and her husband became Orthodox and i think that her mother did.. Anyway, just a story about one of God's wonderful creatures.

God loves us and wants to keep us from hell which often conflicts with our flesh and we are to make a choice between repentance and pride. Rules are tools which help us to repent and put more of a barrier between oneself and hell if one is willing to endure it. Beautiful message Father Spyridon and may God give you more blessings. ☦️

After a dozen or so years, I returned to Poland, where apparently believers live, and I was horrified by what I saw at work, which I left after three days. People treated each other and me in a very rude way. in the West in many countries I met many people who called themselves unbelievers, but they were very polite towards me and each other. In Poland The Bolshevik legacy is being reborn and people are leaving God .

I’m trying to watch this video for me out of nowhere I for some reason get so much anxiety and panicky thinking about this stuff how you go to hell for eternity NO WAY OUT I fear God that I am willing to worship him but I’m not a very panicky person I’m never like that but after a night of no sleep I started having this huge panicked attack where I though I was going down for eternity and I kept asking God for forgiveness I was so scared I hope Everone I love and people I don’t know who sees this goes to heaven Amen
