Powerful medicines in order to purify us. 5:27 “and he will humble us beyond our choice.” 5:34 Self Examination is so important When someone criticizes us - do we resent? - do we hold grudge? - do we get angry? + Do we be at peace 6:27 It is a painful process, particularly at first. 6:45 Pride lurks beneath so much of what we do. We must accuse ourselves Let us reproach ourselves more forcefully than anybody Offer and seek forgiveness Offer forgiveness 7:20 Elder Ephraim The Meek enter The Kingdom 8:18 Judgement Day shows us how deeply we have been wounded by pride. 8:30 Repent now, before Judgement comes. Father, I have a story to share. I have recently been humbled by our Lord. Please read. I am a man who lives in Istanbul (Constantinople). I have in recent years been convinced of the truth in our Lord Jesus Christ and became a Christian. I have lived many supernatural events since. Some so out of the ordinary, I felt I was getting proud. I was praying for the hurrying of the judgment on the world so that it can be the world of our Lord. A few days ago, I prayed to the Father to show me the truth about myself and take wickedness away from me. A few days later I believe he did. As I walked across Hagia Sophia in Kadikoy (translates the Judge’s Village) coast, after sunset, all of a sudden, as I was surrounded by some kids who were wearing jackets with satanic emblems, my heart spasmed in and out, I grabbed my heart, I felt my soul rushing to my feet being drawn to the ground as if about to go to hell. I felt the pride in asking for judgment on others. I felt I was their murderer. I felt to do was to make myself equal to the Lord. Meanwhile, I was looking more and more like a demon. My hands were blackish red. A woman saw me and began to cry. I felt that. My heart was about to stop. I got really really slow. It was just a moment before I faced my judgment. Dear priest, I cannot explain to you the regret and the fear. I immediately began to pray and repent and to live as a servant and a saint. My heart was in that state until I got home and until the morning. During which time I prayed incessantly to be let live. My Lord let me live. He showed me the Truth about me, he showed me his mercy. He showed the importance of humility in this one event. From now on, I will live according to his commandments, never calling for judgment on others no matter how they are bad. If we want to be just: we ought to be compassionate and merciful to one another. It is not for a sinner to call for judgment on other sinners. I pray to our God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit to keep me humbled at all times and to save from their judgment, Amen. I pray the same for all people and even my worst enemies, Amen.
