interesting test. I did BH Surfex v GS (both at 10%) and BH was considerably more powerful. Not even close, especially on wheels. Then, BH Autofoam v GS (both at 5%). Both had about the same performance. However, I bought the new BH Touchless and that rinses better than either, so I go with that now. All through pump sprayers, not foamers, as you use less product. I like GS and AF, but Surfex and Touchless are my go-to pre-washes now, and would be regardless of price.

Also people have to realize bilt hamber af and touchless are designed to attack dirt and not your protection..apc and others just attack everything. If bilt hamber didnt do that id probably just use green star for a pre wash.

​@@Detailing_Dogmayou do a quick gentle rinse with a garden hose to remove particles and sand. If you just spray soap and then power wash, you move the particles hard into the paint. And it causes premature wear on the paint.

Hey man nice point you bring on, this is exactly my though, so foaming has a ton of water as well combined with the surfactants thats gonna soften dirt and grit and get gently removed by the pressure washer. cheers@@sasquatchrosefarts

Interesting comparison, thank you as always for the vid. I’m going to have to give green star a try as a prewash. 👍👍 also, I’ve used GSF in the past, i like the stuff, it smells great etc etc but I’m not seeing a ton of cleaning ability out of it and it’s expensive. Have you tried Carpro Lift?

I'm not a fan of GSF in the bucket either. Yes carpro lift is fine for normal dirty car but with it's built with ceramic coating integrity in mind if thats your thing. I'm chasing the best pre-wash here so I'll pass! I used couples liters of lift in the past it's a fun product regardless

That's a great test and you're asking good questions of the results you're seeing. I would say that my best guess is that the dirt isn't caked on enough, and it's the type of dirt that it is. When I tested 100ml of GS mixed with 100ml of GSF, it did pretty much nothing when compared to SF at 2% PIR (280ml in my setup).

I agree. I think it does not make a lot of sense to put GS in a foam cannon except if you don't care about cost. If you generalize and say most foam cannons are 10:1 dilutions basically when run to the max of the knobs, you end up concluding you'll need to hook the bottle of GS straight up to your foam cannon to get the same power as 10:1 out of a sprayer. I put GS in my GSF sometimes for fun but last time I used about 250 mL GS to get a good effect and that's getting expensive.

You should try multi-star in a test like this. It’s just as good as green star as a pre-wash but you can get the same effectiveness at 30:1 with msn as greenstar 10:1.

Greenstar does a fantastic job as a pre-wash. Superfoam does ok but I still prefer green star even if it does require a higher dilution

I just used CarPro Lift this weekend on 2 cars for the pre wash and it removed 0 dirt. lol. I was like What the heck. There was no dirt or anything on the suds that came off the car. Really disappointing to be honest. I used deionized water as well with the MJJC foam cannon. I have some Koch Chemie Active Foam to try next time. Hopefully it works better than Lift.

Best way to try is use your product on only 1 panel and compare. It depends on the dirt. AF wasn't as good as Superfoam which is my preferred pre-wash. Happy detailing ✌️

@@Detailing_Dogmanice. I wanted to buy the Super Foam but it was only available in the 1 gallon and I didn’t wanna spend that much without knowing how good it was. For my Prewash I have CarPro Lift which I was disappointed by, and I also have Koch Chemie Active which I haven’t tried but I know it’s not as good as super foam. I’m trying to see which so work the best for super dirty untreated cars and then which ones work great for maintenance washes. I’m very interested in the Bilt Hamber touchless, ADS Decon and Bucket Naked. Any experience with those?

Great video thanks for taking the time to do it. There was one thing you said that I dont agree with all ph neutral soaps are the same, some just dont hit dirt like GSF, RESET, Foam party, The new shampoo+ or Incredible suds.

Yup, most soaps today are great unless it’s a budget soap that has been watered down. Even then, just add more. Adam’s Graphene is also very good. Try to find a bad soap! 🤣 and if you do, just add a teaspoon of dawn. 😂🤣

Salut Frank! C'est incroyable comme les techniques de lavage ont évoluées depuis quelques années! Avant je prélavais en utlisant seulement ma machine à pression, ensuite je prenais un savon au ph neutre dans mon canon à mousse comme prélavage ( dans mon cas c'était du Mega Foam de Adam's qui avait une super mousse mais aucun agent nettoyant ) et maintenant j'ai découvert les produits Bilt Hamber pour faire mon pré lavage (je prends du AutoFoam en attendant d'avoir du Touchless v2) et sois je fais un lavage mécanique avec du Incredible Suds de DIY ou l'hiver je pousse le procédé encore plus avec un savon acide de Fireball pour enlever encore plus le sel incrusté sur la peinture. Je m'amuse comme un fou!!!

Loved this video, I might underestimated the power of Gsf in terms of cleaning. Used to always put a bit of Gs in my solution for extra cleaning power, but I might try using only Gsf next time I wash!

And you were right, GSF had NO cleaning power. It is a PH neutral soap and even the word Gentle in the name implies it. I’m just finishing my bottle of Green Star doing the same as you by spicing my Snow Foam but will buy Built Hamber Touchless next, every video I watch shows how superior is compared to the other options.

@@DownloaderVideo just finished a wash today funnily enough. Only using Gsf in the foam cannon was great for the layer of Sahara sand that had built up over de last couple of days. But then again, a straight water rinse would've probably had the same results. Really want to try Touch-less in a sprayer at 2% PIR, but my car doesn't really get that dirty, so might be overkill.

Superfoam 12 ph every wash you say, how often you wash? I here people say over like 9,5 is to much every wash, is it just fear mongering?

Hey Anon, the PH is over blown by people, spreads like wildfire. Once you dilute it in your foam cannon 1 to 10, then foam through the pressure washer, gets diluted another 1:100, the PH goes down immensely almost down to neutral for Superfoam which is PH12 out of the bottle. I'll test out PH in dilute form and make a video on it at some point. Ive been using Superfoam ph12 for 2 years at every wash I dont see any issue, it dwells a few mins then gets rinced, no agitation. Clear coat is a lot more robust than ppl think. Cheers

@@wasrio1403 I have a PH digital meter we can test it once diluted, 1:100 through a foam cannon reduces the PH by a large margin. The data is my self, been using SF for 2 years weekly and no issue to report. I wouldnt recommend BS out of the blue to the people btw.

Hey Charles, Green Star is a very strong and effective APC, degreaser type product I wouldn't use that on a regular basis on my personal car (other than the wheels). The clear coat and plastic are very robust but use an APC with caution. I used Green star in the test so we compare other product capacities. Hope you it helps thanks man.

@@wasrio1403 thanks for your concern, SF is VDA certified and within the recommended dilution you can use it weekly without issue, remember it's dwelling and getting rinse. Once it goes through your foam cannon it ends up being diluted further about 1:100. Degreaser shouldnt be used as pre-wash regularly on the same car thats common knowledge.
