also on the topic of rising problems with the backing stuff there is a saying: ''cooking is art, baking is science'' it refers to the fact that when you cook you can basicaly follow the recipe somewhere between 80 and 90 % and the food is going to turn out good the only difference is that maybe you removed some ingridients you dont like and replacd them with some you like in baking however you need to follow the recipe as best as humanly possible a difference in 5 degrees of temperature could cause the dough to not rise so you have to be verry care full to do everything correctly. any learned baker could tell you that :D
