Good Evening everyone, Chris here again. I hope you enjoy our stupid intro 😆. When we were coming up with the skit for this one, we saw a giant pile of cardboard boxes we had, and thought. Well yeah Anima powers, of course we have to do Power Rangers. Good on our own Mr Nupss for doing his best Rita Repulsa voice lel What are your thoughts on earning Renown in its current form? Are you good with them being second monitor content, or would you rather see them make some radical changes to make it more interesting?

I had such high hopes for what they could do with casual and solo content and there's not enough fun stuff to invest my time into. Might change in 10.X but as it is now I am gone till 11.0 or 12.0 if they can't make more content for the open world. I will likely just play the free trial of FFXIV or try Guild Wars 2.

They should honestly remake heroic into premade levelling dungeons, so basicly normal dungeons while levelling, but harder, gives more exp, better loot, but only for premades. Right now heroic dungeons have no place in wow, as they cannot be done while levelling, and at max level they are not worth doing.

"They must have run out of development time." So, same old same old? I feel like I've heard this excuse several expansions in a row. "Here's a really cool idea with so much potential, that they could make SO good, but it seems they ran out of development time so instead we get this bland boring thing that feels unfinished."
@Reldan2 жыл бұрын
On one hand they skipped doing a third patch for Shadowlands, which you'd think would let them shift resources to Dragonflight earlier. On the other hand, they decided to shove Dragonflight out by the end of 2022. It's been so long since the days where Blizzard put stuff up when it was good and done instead of just cramming whatever they can sell out the door as soon as it's MVP.
@SenpaiXcore2 жыл бұрын
Probably because half the team will be working on the next expansion once dragonflight goes live like they always do. I feel like this type of developing really has doubled down on blizzard in releasing worse content. I'd just wish they'd take their time to develop an experience which lasts for a longer period so they can sit back and calmly extend their ideas on further expansions rather than having to shove it out so quickly. In FF you've got so many side activities which are basically just for spending time but they're fun doing, on WoW it seems that everything has to lead towards improving gear or performance if you're not creating an activity like running old content yourself.

I really want to hear concrete examples on what fun stuff could replace the fill the bar quests since almost literally everything we have done in WoW since Vanilla is filling the bar. I heard the hunt example in this video and I just though about how that's just another fill the bar quest, but on a list: Follow footprints: 0/10 Set up traps: 0/6 Kill "x" mobs for meat: 0/5 Set up bait: 0/6 Kill big monster: 0/1

I didn't see it in the video but someone did ask Preach how this is any different than FFXIV reputation grinds, and his answer was that they don't really have any locked content behind them. I don't think the literal bar being there to fill is the problem, he just wants the bar filling to represent better what it accomplishes and that it should have a END in sight. His main problems were two fold, for the system that exists its unimmersive, where cuddly walrus fishing people asked him to kill something across the map (it just doesn't fit). Second, it has genuinely interesting and fun content locked behind it, which makes it mandatory if you actually want to take part in the content. Maybe just make the fun activities locked behind the rep grind, BE THE REP GRIND.

Easy, just a second of thinking: -multiple paths per event, not just the same linear line every time, for example stage 1 could be the same, but as you finish you can get 1 of the 5 different stage 2's, then from those 5 every path has 3 for stage 3, etc-etc. -these stages can be helping a different NPC team, tanking their mobs or healing them for % -need to kill an npc boss, can be spawned in multiple locations, if you dont find it first time you get clues on where to find, maybe a buff for you to not waste too much time compared to finding the boss first time -help to construct something, either a war machine, helping to rebuild a town, need to gather resources, can go to an easy way where there are less enemies but less resources, vs. a harder cave where you can find the enemies' supplies -can be made more fun to find random shit everywhere, be rare chests which can be spawned only on stage 4, multiple locations like the rifts in korthia, for unique warfront-like tmogs, or whatever, can be a currency to buy mounts pets tabards, maybe advance your renown with rep -oh, multiple planar phases, jump in-and-out to avoid death for example -random little 2-5min buffs here and there -TORGHAST POWERS ANYONE? -etc-etc. for more ideas visit my onlyfans ty -

It’d be cool if during that great hunt event, you track down a big enemy, and while doing so come across its prey, maybe there’s bite marks, maybe no body st all, and depending on your deductions you can set different types of traps and make the fight tilted in your favour? It would probably be suceptable to just googling the answers but everything is nowadays. Also, side note, I’m no developer so I won’t pretend to know, and I know it’s out of greed / wanting to make money, which I get, but it’d be so much better if developers did not time hate things, if some guy wants to spend 50 hours in 3 days no lifting this new content, he has no room to complain there is “nothing left to do”, he judged the content worthy of doing, it’s a players choice. But I know they want those months to tick over for sub revenue so eh, I get it.

I can understand being unenthusiastic about fill the bar or kill X quests but WoW’s shining strength that no other game has ever matched is it’s class combat and gameplay feel so of course Blizz would design most of its content around players just constantly killing things. Hacking and slashing with two two-handed weapons on my warrior or sneaking around completely invisible on my rogue are gameplay experiences I can only get in WoW and they’re the most fun classes in any mmo, no other game has been able to match the same class fantasy feel for warrior/rogue that WoW has, it’s the main reason why it’s still mmo 1 for me. FF14 and gw2 just can’t keep up and I miss playing WoW while looking at other games
@novasiri78092 жыл бұрын
The issue is, that it can't just stand on gameplay fantasy. It needs all the other pieces to make it an enjoyable game, Including the community.. which WoW is sorely lacking. Sure. It may FEEL nice to play, but if there's nothing to do, no one outside of close friends to enjoy it with, no cohesive story, no systems that accent and are enjoyable to play.. Then what's the point? You're not gonna be able to be sneaky when this stuff comes out cause groups are already going to have optimal routes datamined, optimal rewards, optimal everything. And unless you cater exactly to that, the typical 'toxic' WoW mentality is gonna steam roll you. And I can hear the excuse 'Well I have friends!' .. Yes.. but you're a rarity. I used to repeat this mantra too, only to realize that any enjoyment I got was sucked out the moment I stepped a TOE out of that small circle. WoW.. lost it's sense of community, it's become a job full of co-workers who hate your guts and a boss who thinks they know better than you. It used to be a fantastic one.. But this nature of 'go go go, grind grind grind, work work work' has bred this monster. It's why FF14 and GW2 are holding candles over WoW's head.. They have the community that makes it's flaws well worth enduring.

@@novasiri7809 meh I think the gameplay feel and getting immersed in how my class is playing can carry other parts of the game that are lacking. And I know for sure that all those extra parts done better in other mmos can’t carry what I’m missing in class design. 14 can do everything else right but I still hate the combat feel of memorize the exact right sequence of button presses, and no customization of classes where I can’t dps as a warrior and I can’t use any other weapon except axe, and I can’t play a traditional rogue archetype I can only play an eastern style ninja which I don’t care for. It doesn’t matter how amazing the rest of the game is, the fundamental basics is what matters most and 14 doesn’t come close to WoW in that regard, despite WoW crapping the bed in pretty much all the extra stuff they put on top

I don't think liking or dislike a "fill the bar" objective itself is less a matter of liking or disliking mindless content than just preferring granular and varied means of progressing the WQ instead of it having more fixed requirements that then get increasingly more difficult as player count in the area increases. But yes, we need some Monster Hunter World shit for the Maruuk, big fishing (in the sense of hunting down a special fish by finding clues for location and lure, or actually going out and hunting a leviathan), maybe random opportunities to find locations from which to dive into procedurally generated delves for the earth guys, etc., etc.. A new label or motive for doing old content does not new content make.
@naejimba2 жыл бұрын
So I like the idea of this new kind of optional world content, and I hope it provides decent gold for your time in the same way world quests would. With that said, your suggestions of making it far more varied (especially varied depending on what the specific faction is) are valid points. I also like your suggestion of making these torghast like powers from the "Rift" like events happen with each one; maybe different options for each type would add some variety.
@saint84722 жыл бұрын
I like the idea of adding the profession stuff to that dungeon - the problem is that if you have to go out of the way to get it, it has to be strong enough to make up for the time you spent to go get it as apposed to just keep going forward. And if it is strong enough to make up for that time, it basically becomes mandatory instead of a "neat side thing".

How fun would it be if you had to chase down a giant animal that you are hunting on horseback with the centaurs. You have to avoid getting trampled as the animal tried to get away.

At around 2:40 - 3:00 I swear I'm hearing the Outer Wilds "Timber Hearth" riff

I would have thought the grand hunt would be an iteration of finding Shango in Sholazar Basin, track the footprints etc. It is also a missed opportunity for a rummage through droppings quest that Blizzard have historically loved to add.

I would imagine grand hunt like something like The hunt in the Maw, but a bit more complex...

Was the title of the video changed? Could've sworn it said something like "This might not make me return to Dragonflight" or around there

truth is, the hammer is so heavy he isn't acting, he is actually winded by swinging that thing around. Not everyone can handle Thor's baby rattle :)
