Maybe lay on a hard floor (wood or laminate) and have someone pull you by your head across the floor. I pull my husband by his feet (for sciatica) down the hall then grab his arms and pull/drag the other way, back and forth about 10 times. It decompresses his back and takes away his lower back pain instantly, no pain pills needed. He's good for a few months then have to repeat.

Thanks very much for this. Consider that, if you do this a few times a week or a day, you are increasing the blood circulation to your joints, thus their ability to repair or maintain themselves, which has been impeded by lessened blood flow due to compression. That is according to a spine surgeon I consulted who told me my neck was a mess, but not bad enough to risk operation, and that he believed that getting my neck stretched by a chiropractor regularly (using a towel to pull my neck back for 30 secs at a time) would help maintain and repair to some extent the deteriorated joints. So, my partner does this for me and it is really effective at the time, and, if we do it often, over time. But I'm looking for a device to do it in between, since partner not always available.

Iuc inflatable neck traction device in between osteopath visits. It does bring me some relief without having to resort to pain killers. I wouldn't recommend using it as a net question on a flight though. Anyone who's used an inflatable travel pillow would have noticed even the slightest drop in altitude or cabin pressure will cause the air inside to expand so that could be kind of dangerous with the traction device.

Really need to compare the over the door to lay down models. A lot of us want to hear wether it does or can crack and pop our necks and how much pounds of force they can exert. I want one that can hurt a bit. That way I know its real. Then back off to the proper amount. Great job regardless. Thank you for your service. By the way. Ever noticed that bones in our heads, chest and pelvis areas are letters inscribed in ancient stone, that form words and phrases in ancient lexicons? If not then the rest would amaze you.

Thanks for your comment Jerel. I'm sure it is possible for either the inflatable or door models to elicit some pops. However you may struggle from traction alone. I will look into your over the door option (the ones I have seen on Amazon don't have good reviews- hard to use, hurt the jaw, etc..). As it stands, I just do stretches. @necksaviour4 жыл бұрын
Firstly thanks again for your order of 10 necksaviour Minis via the Kickstarter campaign two years ago. Sorry to see this less than favourable recent review of necksaviour Mini. necksaviour was born out of the desire to replicate manual occipital traction that patients love and find so therapeutic in clinic. Your review was negative for what appeared to be 2 main reasons: 1. necksaviour Mini wasn’t comfortable The version you reviewed was from 2 years ago and necksaviour Minis now have softer outer layers. Also as you know as a clinician, sometimes short term discomfort can be necessary to be therapeutic in the longer term e.g. trigger point release. Many neck pain and headache sufferers can be tender in the upper cervical spine and occipital region. This is why sub occipital blocks sell and some people gain significant relief from them. A period of desensitisation and a graduated increase in use is often all that is needed. We genuinely feel any trigger point release effect is actually an added benefit of necksaviour. 2. You also felt necksaviour didn’t deliver much traction force. We had the forces tested with a specially constructed jig in the engineering department at The University of Hertfordshire so the forces they deliver are unequivocal. I have a theory about why you feel more traction with the inflatable and over the door devices J I think it’s because you feel the head being lifted when you are upright which it doesn’t have to be when supine (and already relaxed). On that same point non-supine devices have to overcome the weight of the head before they get to the starting point of the decompression that supine devices do. As the developer of necksaviour I’m sure you’ll think I’m one dimensional in my opinion about which product is best but genuinely I’m a big believer that different things suit different people. Not all patients respond in exactly the same way to treatment or medication so why would one product suit all? Having said that I do have some criticisms of the 2 devices you preferred in the review. The inflatable device gives me the same feeling of light headedness that it gave you. I’m not as young as you but I’m pretty healthy and it bothers me a little that it has that affect and worries me more for the elderly or those with underlying atherosclerosis. During the development of necksaviour you can imagine how many studies I read regarding cervical traction! As a result one thing I feel strongly about with the ‘over the door traction devices’ is that for a very significant number of neck pain and headache patients, delivering the kind of forces required to overcome the weight of the head and decompress the cervical spine via the TMJ is undesirable. Very often this patient group are teeth clenchers and TMJ sufferers too. We have had a notable number of people say they lost their TMJ pain with necksaviour use. Can’t say for sure why that would be but adds weight to the theory that they can be closely linked. Again without sounding biased!...there are a number of other advantages I believe necksaviours have. The arrangement of the contact points creates a desirable degree of chin retraction which is lost for so many people with poor posture these days. When we demonstrate at exhibitions some people don’t feel a great deal at the time they are trying necksaviours but much more when sitting up after a few minutes of using them. Completely understand the review is your own objective opinion on the products but as a fellow clinician I thought I’d share these thoughts and points with you. As I say no single product will suit everybody but we have had an enormous number of fantastic testimonials and have won 3 design excellence awards including a medical one. Happy to discuss any clinical points or aspects of using necksaviours.

I will give an honest independent 3rd party review from a non clinician everyday average Joe with neck pain, stiff neck, sore neck and an occasional bulging disc which causes an inability to turn my head without rotating my shoulders. I have not watched this review or any review if your product. I came to read reviews as I have purchased the inflatable unit and it has not arrived. I will give yours and the inflatable device a head to head honest review. I am absolutely 100% unbiased and will evaluate your device while being mindful of your overview of your device in your response. I do not have a large following on KZbin as I just really started utilizing the platform. I do however have upwards of 20k followers on Twitter, 1000+ on TikTok, 5000+ on IG. I would also give my opinion of using them in tandem to see if they may compliment each other in different positions (supine, fowlers and sitting). I appreciate the work you put into your device in an effort to provide relief to pain patients as opposed to prescribing opiates and counting your money. Your passion for your product shines through and your response was extremely informative and knowledgeable in an effort to somewhat compare apples to apples. I think I could provide a dynamic review from my experience which at the end of the day is my experience and that I don't believe either has zero merit and results will vary between individuals, their issues and commitment to giving the devices a thorough and honest opportunity to work as intended. DM me if there's any interest in my proposal. Cheers!

I grind my teeth as my body‘s way to release stress however it affects my chest and Peck muscles as well as my head, neck, and upper to middle back/shoulder muscles. the traction pillow you’re trying out I have one of those and honestly it works pretty amazing for the cost but you definitely need it tighter than what you have it. because I am so small it actually almost doesn’t get tight enough for me so I’ve tried to add Velcro to it so I can get it tighter because the traction pillow is the best devise I have found so far for the price point. I have been wanting to try a door traction device but just have not yet. honestly I’ll take a round pillow and put it under my neck and lay flat on the bed and just breathe and if I concentrate on the vertebrae and the spots in my neck that I want to pop and breathe correctly they will adjust themselves with my bodyweight. I will also put the pillow in certain locations on my back and do the same thing to get decompression or adjustments to occur I just started doing this in the last six months once I realized that hey just breathing is making my neck pop ... if I do this with a little more intent I think I can get the pops to happen that I need to happen.. I still think that’s really weird tho. My neck shouldn’t just adjust from breathing I’m concerned that my neck will never stay in place now

I have a massage therapist that gives me a massage every week to every two weeks just depending on how I’m feeling there for a while it was every week and I did one week of massage every day as I had a spot in my neck that would not release and would not adjust and had been compressed since December of last year it was affecting the feeling in my thumb and pointer finger and all the way down my right arm I also had discoloration on the ball of my thumb which was the only indicator that I was having circulation issues because all of the doctors I was trying to explain this issue to kept telling me that I was crazy and there was nothing in my arm or shoulder that could have the circulation cut off like that but when I did further research I learned about the brachial plexus that all of these arteries come out of on the side of our neck that are the nerves and blood vessels for our arms so the fact that a doctor was not believing me and telling me that I was crazy whenever I in fact was not crazy really fucking bothers me it still pisses me off to be quite honest to tell me that I’m not having circulation issues when I can clearly feel that blood is having problems flowing and I can put my hand on certain spots of my skin and move a certain way and feel my blood pulsating and putting pressure on my skin; when I can show physical proof of circulation issues and doctors still tell me that I’m wrong it’s fucked up

Nice Video! Excuse me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you considered - Chireetler Legs Shaping Rule (google it)? It is an awesome exclusive guide for unearthing the hidden method to increase your penis size minus the normal expense. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my cooworker after a lifetime of fighting got great success with it.

A device similar to the inflatable neck pillow generated immense amount of pain in my right jaw and in my right ear .

Hi Nidal, That sounds awful! So sorry to hear that. I hope you stopped using it after that experience. Have you tried another device so far? Best wishes, Ashley.

@Precision Wellbeing Group Thank you for getting back to me . No not at all , there's a bulging disc in my neck and maybe made it worse , it came to the point where I had pain and difficulty moving my jaws , my orthopedic doctor told me to stay away from such devices , so I did

Thank you. This was helpful! Do you know how these would compare to the posture pump?

If you do the velcro straps up too tight in the middle it makes it real hard to breath. I wouldn't want to pass out with it on.

I'd probably skip that last one. I live by myself and don't know anyone that would come over just to watch me do that and there's no way I would risk doing that by myself.

That's probably a good idea haha! Wishing you the best, Ashley.

Really great video.many thanks.! I have the neck cushion but it always irritates the muscles in the middle of my upper back after a few minutes use so I end up taking it off - maybe I'm just cranking it up too much? It certainly makes you stand up more 'soldier like' afterwards so it's got to be useful for people with poor posture.

I wonder what would happen on the door device if one of the cord attached to the metal "y" brace were to break while it is under tension? I hope the metal bar wouldn't come down and hit you on the head as that might be bad.

Because 'Velcro' is a brand name, if I used some in my products and advertised it by name, then the Velcro company might want money. So yes, here in the litigious USA it's called hook n loop. But the commoners all call it Velcro.

I bought that exact neck pillow you had the one I had before it deflated and it was no longer usable but it was a much better device,I tried to find another one just like it and the one you have was the update version and it's crap the velcro straps will not hold and it's cheaply made and it takes forever to inflate it because of the cheap pump

The pulley over the door is useless no matter how long I tried diff things/positions, etc The inflatable neck pillow doesn’t stretch near enough I’m at 34 on the chiro traction table lol I’m a Gumby so none of these home devices work 😳 (No I don’t have EDS)
