By the way, you can actually remove the bulb and tube while wearing the collar. There is a ball in the top of the in the tube that can be manoeuvred into place to seal the tube and then the majority of tube and the bulb can be removed. You are left with only a very short length of tube that doesn’t get in the way

I tried this as a recommendation from my osteopath... for reducing severe pain in my neck from an improper chiropractic adjustment (atlas to C3) that left me with... restricted and painful rotational movements, headaches, feeling like I have steel cables along side my neck, through the jaw bone, behind the ears, and into the temples. I found that the pressure caused in my head from this neck traction device when it was inflated.... gave me a severe migraine (felt like my head was going to explode).... and did not help my neck pain at all.

@@AnthonyScalzilli adapter, diagnosed it. But really, you don’t need a doctor to tell you if you have frozen shoulder or not. If you can’t lift your arm forward, to the side, or put your hand behind your back without getting ‘zinged’ with pain, you are frozen. Frozen shoulder literally means that. The shoulder joint is so inflamed, the arm becomes impossible to move. Like you’ve hit a barrier.

Thank you for your videos!!! Mine showed up today. I'm wearing it as I type this. My first thoughts were how far is safe to inflate. I assume it's probably not strong enough to cause further damage before the pain tells me to stop. I haven't had feeling in my index finger in about 6 months. Physio and massage got me out of the acute pain i was in. Now I want to be able to function again. My biggest issue now that the pain is gone is I have no strength in my triceps on my left arm. I went from bench pressing over 200 lbs to now just 95 lbs for a set of 8 or so reps. I'm looking to someday get back to weightlifting and running, but I'm concerned about impact of jogging (up to 2 or 3 hours in duration). I'll keep using this 2-3 times a day for 30 min each, as you recommend, as well as the chin tuck exercises. I've stopped taking all meds (pain killers and muscle relaxers) about 2 weeks ago and still feel ok. I'm not much for pills, but do you think the muscle relaxers would aid in this treatment? If I'm looking to strengthen the neck muscles, I'm supposing I don't want to be on relaxers....counter productive kinda thing eh. Thoughts?
@robmcguckin760510 ай бұрын
Here are my thoughts since you asked. I have cervical radiculopathy with a pinched nerve between my C5 & C6 disc in my neck. I have numbness in my right hand ring finger and pinky and on two separate occasions when attempting to rebound (mini-trampoline) my numbness got worse and in fact I experienced a new problem which was achalasia (difficulty swallowing). Usually when this occurs, it only lasts for 30 minutes or less but recently after rebounding I went through a full 24 hours without being able to swallow even water. So, if you are still continuing to jog, I would wear the neck brace while jogging. It may not look cool but it will help offset the downward force on your neck and in theory prevent further pinching of the nerve. I've dealt with this for over 5 years now. My MD recommended I get surgery or risk paralysis. I do not want surgery so I am doing all the exercises and using the inflatable whenever I rebound or ski. Good luck!

However, we do have a neck pain help playlist that might be more beneficial for you. You can check it out here: “Neck Pain Help” kzbin.info/aero/PLJVIPiFvv1mZRNE4rwpxvE_tM1na_9kAm Start with one or two exercises, beginning with the smallest range of motion and the lowest intensity. As you feel stronger, you can gradually increase both the range of motion and intensity. It’s best to do these exercises every day throughout the day. Aim to tire out the muscle without losing form or control. Consistency is key. Always avoid working through pain; soreness and mild discomfort are normal, but pain is not.
