Predator 420cc Kandi Spyder IRS Build EP1

On today's video we start to prep for the Backwoods Brawl 1000 race. We take a Kandi Spyder go kart and remove the engine and wiring. We install IRS with some 300cc trailing arms. I’m excited about the rear suspension set up. I have a Massimo GK 200cc. Same rear end so I’m hoping this can be done to mine. Only thing is I want to use the original style engine in it, just need to get it to perform better. Thanks for the video, keep up the good work.

You could use the same engine off the kart. Just cut the original swing arm apart and use the mounts from it.

I'm sure adding a reverse gearbox gets expensive. My thoughts on my kids cart was to use an old Ford starter. You would need a decent battery and charging system for best results but a person usually only needs reverse for a minute and the Bendix would disengage when not needed. Just rigging it to a jack shaft or weld a ring gear to the axle should work. When I raced karts years ago we just had a starter and battery on a dolly. Loop a belt around that big McCulloch and fired it up.

Yes it is. You would have to run a chain or a 90 degree gearbox to shoot the driveshaft to the front of the vehicle

Polaris puts a 2nd sprocket on the output and runs it forward with a cammed jack shaft for chain adjustment then to the front diff thats the same

The Mitsubishi 3000GT had all wheel steering. The rear tires turned approx 15 degrees. In theory it would be possible to do an AWS kart using rear knuckles. Cable system linked to steering shaft and some HD springs?????

Nice! Any chance y’all sell, or would sell a different motor mount for that buggy? I have the massimo gk200 with the 177cc jasscol motor. Just started upgrading that after one tank, went in knowing I would want more power 🤘 I’d definitely be interested in a mount for something bigger. There’s also a 250cc spider on the same chassis with a cn250 but never seen one. Awesome channel and content! 🤘🤙

Hay red beard I have a 13 horsepower vanguard and I'm looking to put a kill switch on a lanyard kill switch do I have to hook it up to each of the coils of the engine to stop it or is one sufficient anxiously

you need to kill both coils if there are 2 coils .. it might sill run on 1 coil .. .
