@@inaayatsingh8794 The logic of BLM and All Lives matter doesn't apply here For one, Dyer didn't walk up to Jallianwala Baug and knelt over each and every individual protestor while placing them under arrest under a judicial system which wasn't eitherways acceptable to Indians Two, it was a massacre made predominantly of Sikh individuals, this is an important difference especially when you find dead bodies of Hindus and Muslims in the wells of Jallianwala 3, India by definition is a country of all the above 3 religions, so yeah when she says apologize to only the Sikhs it simply indicates - Forget the Muslims and Hindus because for me " Preet Kaur Gill " identity politics is more important

@@FirstLast-ug4ri looking at the current demographic of India and the other known massacres even though many Sikhs were killed I don't think they were the majority of most persecuted grps, imo the most persecuted grps would be Muslims and Hindus, as things like the Bengal famine affected majority of Muslims and then Hindus in the middle of India, but that makes me come back to my point that it shouldn't Matter who got killed because at the end of the day ALL of them were Indian, so instead of apologizing for a specific group and possibly creating more division I think the UK should apologize for India as a whole for the 35+ million deaths

Notice how she is asking for an apology specifically for Punjab and not for India when she herself said that the people who died at Jallianwala Bagh had people from other religions too. I guess her Indian history starts from the day when gurus established Sikhism irrespective of who they were before. Oh well!

Only complaint to her whole argument is that she not even once mentioned the country and people of india. Saying only Sikhs or punjab in my sight is belittling such a cruel incident which is of concern to not just a community but all indian people. When I was told about the incident it didn't feel different and neither did my parents and grandparents who witnessed and told the incidence to me felt any distant. Gandhi gave up the title of Kaiser-i-Hind bestowed to him by the British although he was from Gujarat and many more Indians came together to fight against this evil practice of colonialism. So she shouldn't have parted Sikhs from the rightful union of India.
