@@BilisNegra British musicians tend to be obsessed with the Blues and Soul music anyway but the most heartbreaking illustration here was naming one of their albums Steve McQueen, then being forced by his estate to change the name to Two Wheels Good in the States. Three other album names reference America, six singles, and I don't know how many other songs. He certainly ignored trends in English music.

Absolutely perfect. Paddy sings with such passion. I feel the lyrics and melodies deep in my soul and love their songs more and more with each listen. One of the few bands that I pine over the fact that I’ll never see live.

Their success is so far short of where it deserves to be, these guys should have ruled the world, their music stands the test of time today, love them still after 30 odd years Paddy is the man............you want a song with meaning, he's the guy.

Dolby really understood where the band wanted to be sonically. Such a good single from a landmark album.

I think he understood where they could go, but I don't think Paddy could have foreseen before 1984 that he would have ended up with such an unlikely producer. One of the great things about both of the Dolby-produced albums is that they haven't aged at all, unlike so many other records typical of the period.

Nope, not underrated at all. Paddy is very highly respected by the UK press. Go back into the archives and read a few NMEs, Melody Makers and Q magazine reviews of their albums.

Brilliant Pop Mastery. Doesnt get much better than this. I love this album so much and I encourage all to give it a listen. 1990 what a banger of a year for English/UK bands, 1st 2nd 3rd albums. You easily could name 50 seriously good UK bands that were making a name for themselves in those 2 years. This album is an English masterpiece that should be listened to over and over again.
