I put mine in 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes, cold oven with lid , 9 “ Dutch oven & then remove the lid & cook for 15 minutes. That’s what Ben Starr on KZbin does & it cooks perfectly. Just says, my oven doesn’t go up to like 500 degrees Fahrenheit like some people’ does , so this cold oven way seems to work for me. I don’t know 🤷♀️ if the higher rise is better because I haven’t used the other method. 😊❤❤❤👍🏼. It bread looks really great 😊👍🏼

Thank you so much for sharing. I will go and check out his channel. That is a large dutch oven does the dough spread before it starts to rise? I really appreciate your feedback. I love learning new techniques.

I put a pizza pan on rack under my Dutch oven because if not my bread gets too dark at the bottom. 😊❤👍🏼

I that that would be a great idea. I usually put a pan under certain baked goods it does seem like it helps them cook more evenly. I have a baking sheet that has an air pocket in between the layers of metal and it really helps with cookies. I am going to try this technique in my next baking. Thank you for sharing.
