Taken from the description on the Premier Guitar website: "Thanks to guitar tech Anthony P. Levato (Tech 9) for his help with details." It's just a nickname. www.premierguitar.com/articles/23422-rig-rundown-slightly-stoopid

surprisingly many bands actually switch bass/guitar duty. even U2 switch bass/guitar thing in one song. (obviously Failure switch more often.)

Except no Kyle? Awesome vid though, so great to see the full rundown of their equipment and how simple they keep it. Great video!

i feel like kyle doesn't ever really do much interview stuff. maybe he doesn't like to. I know some guys in bands just aren't comfortable doing pictures or interviews.
@DerCribben8 жыл бұрын
Definitely, Stephen Jacobo from Tribal Seeds is like that I think. Real quiet but you know there's just so much going on in his head. I've seen a few interviews where Kyle's on point, and I've seen a few where he's pretty faded lol. Dude likes his herb and most of the time I'd rather chill than get interviewed too. Seems like a real cool guy every time I've heard him talk, Miles too, awesome dudes.
@Bosebase918 жыл бұрын
totally different genre, but i remember i saw the band Civil Twilight (they had a big hit in 2009 called "Letters from the Sky") and their guitar player didnt take pictures with anyone. after the show he dipped out. it just freaks him out to take pictures and whatnot. some people will refer to those guys as "assholes" but what would you do if you had tons of screaming fans latching on to you and you were uncomfortable with it?

isnt the whole point of a five way switch to switch a humbucker to a single coil though? lol 1:45
@lonerider924 жыл бұрын
Kyle and Miles don't do a lot of stuff with single coils though, they probably got a guitar with a coil split if they need to use something remotely close to a single coil. Most reggae musicians in the scene these days prefer Humbuckers because of the punch they have. I still like my single coils though for the twang, makes for a good sounding chop when you play.

I think night after night on the road, with new people working with each town (union or not union workers) a lot of people have the same name, or nicknames. Easier, I assume, to call your tech "Tech". No mistake there, right? Lets hope that's it.

When did he say it was fake wear? He's been playing that guitar for like 7 years. If you actually listen he said his buddy gets relic bodies and puts new hardware in them.
