@@gsl649 vibrato means the note goes slightly up and down. chorus is an effect that doubles your guitar sound and adds vibrato+slows down slightly the second guitar track(i think not sure tho) if you take out the main track and keep just the track that the chrous adds you'll get just a vibrato effect.

I’ve noticed from learning about these people over the years, so many of my favorite artists and bands just used whatever was cheap and sounded good at a pawn shop. Trying to recreate it those sounds is fun but when it comes to creating new music I find it very difficult to stray from what’s traditionally thought of as “good” gear and tone.

Mac’s always been authentic in his music production. He doesn’t know all the terms and answers but he can play and get into a creative mood and experiment with different instruments and tech, and I think that’s all it takes to make something worthwhile.

I can read lips pretty well (partially hearing impaired), so for anyone wondering what he said when it bleeped out which synths are his new favorite, he said the "Casio CZ series." These are phenomenal synthesizers that use a very unique sound source called "phase distortion" to create and dial in wave forms. I restored a Casio CZ-101 about 2 years ago and while it's sort of a pain in the ass to program, I still love it! Hats off to you Mac!

I should have known Mac listens to Connan Mockasin, Forever Dolphin Love is truly a masterpiece, as is Choade my dear. I am the most impressed with Mac Demarco, Connan Mockasin, Ariel Pink, Tame Impala, King Tuff, John Maus, Mogan Delt and Ty Segall at the moment. I am so happy there is still good music, it's just not super popular anymore. I had to dig to discover this stuff.
