I sold mine as it was rubbish. Slow to start, difficult to clean the deck and didn’t cut low enough. Much happier with a Husky out front machine.

@@Premier_lawns_officialit was our first time visiting SALTEX so I don’t have anything to measure by but I’ll take your word for it, personally I thought it was ok, we could get a good look at what was on offer without being crowded out so that aspect for me it was good.

Ive been to two Saltex events and have been disappointed twice. Last year I shared a pint with you and Rob from Maxwells grass cutting. Which was the best part of the day tbh. I really don't think Saltex is for your average gardener or lawncare bod. It's much more aimed at the bigger boys I think. Rather than us mostly residential work boys. Next year it's Groundsfest for me I think.

You might go to groundsfest and feel the same... One of the main reasons I go is for the networking, to a large degree that is sitting have beers with people in spoons etc. It's much easier to pick up the phone to someone if you have had a chat over a beer.

@@Premier_lawns_official Agree. Which got me thinking. Wouldn't it be great if we could all network in person at a central location without all the noise of the likes of Saltex? Maybe invite manufacturers that are specific to our needs as opposed to what the bigger boys use? Just a thought..........

@@betterlawns4usaltex works well for me, it's a quick plane ride over, its very handy. The event is free to attend There wouldn't be enough demand to make it worth most of the manufactures time

Good to see you matey. Smaller show but seemed quite busy, all things considered. Lots of exhibitors told me it was busy and different people come to saltex than groundsfest. Will be better for saltex if nec wasn’t so expensive.

I enjoy saltex, it's at a good time of year and it's easy to get to. I really did think it wasn't as busy as usual, but they usually release the footfall numbers so we will see...

Decided there's no point to saltex anymore to much shirt and tie set up now groundsfest is here it's far more relaxed and more hands on. Keep well sir great video as always

@Premier_lawns_official they are too close together we are flat out 52 weeks of the year now so different time doesn't actually make difference to me. For the suppliers they have all said groundsfest is by far cheaper so let's see what the future holds!

Been quiet the last few years. They inflate the numbers as if you go both days they count you again too. Groundsfest will get better but the GMA and it’s benefits will keep this event going albeit smaller. It’s aimed at the golf courses who bring their ten staff for a day out who have zero buying power and aren’t going to buy stuff and they have neglected the small companies who can buy and are there looking at products,

Scott, I did notice that. Anytime I left the show no one kept track, however they were always very keen to scan the badge in the way back in! I think too regardless it will always be a thing, it will just get much smaller
