Hello, i just bought mine for 270 euros and it says that it goes up to 270 hz if i oveclock it, i was wondering if a 240 hz overclocked monitor is the same as a regular 24 hz monitor because it's said that it is a 144 hz natively but overclockable up to 270 hz. Ty for the review i really struggle to find some. OOh i get it, i have a 249m

How long is the bootup time of the monitor. I'm referring to when you press the "Power" button, until the PC shows up on the screen. Great video man!

Hmm...I can't be absolutely sure as I don't have the monitor with me anymore, but I suppose yes, the buttons and joystick do have a "softer" touch to them from what I recall. Are you having issues with the buttons and joystick?

They are working fine, just not the quality i assume from more premium ROG serie. TUF series buttons feels more premium :D

Yes it does - in the video, I tested the monitor on the 240Hz refresh rate mode with a HDMI connection - be sure to check that your graphics card has a HDMI 2.0 and above port!

got this monitor today, plugged in to pc and power outlet, the white light showed up but the screen didnt display anything but just black screen. i tried to use the buttons on the side but nothing happened. i can't even open the menu for the monitor. :/ i got excited for nothing i guess.

Yeah it'll do good especially with its 240Hz refresh rate - gotta make sure your graphics card is able to output those kinds of frame rates though.

@@aqurac yeah, i finally decided to buy this monitor and i’d say that this was a great choice for me. The design simple yet so elegant and the panel really suitable for fps gaming but still has a great panel density.

Based on my experience testing this monitor, I found the panel sharpness (especially for text) pretty good - nothing to call out here!

I assume you're referring to the XG259QN? I haven't had the chance to test that monitor, but you'd wanna make sure you have a PC that is capable of putting out high FPS in order to maximise the refresh rate of the XG259QN!

The XG259CM in this video has a higher refresh rate of 240Hz, versus the 180Hz of the XG256Q. If you're looking for a monitor that can do high-refresh rate gaming at 1080p (assuming you have the hardware for this, such as a high-end graphics card), the XG259CM might be the better choice!

@@darkangel1096 Pues no sé, no soy un usuario muy avanzado como para darme cuenta si tiene algún contra, pero para alguien como yo que solo juega y ya no le encontré ningún contra más que el que no pude activar el g sync pq en el osd no aparece como el free sync, no sé si será problema mío o del monitor, en fin todo lo demás está bien, sobre todo por su precio, para ser ROG y de 240 Hz está barato en mi país (Perú)

@@aerothh to compete with other companies I’d assume. The size and specs are ideal for competitive esport titles. Alienwares aw2521hf has the same specs and is the same size, this asus model is actually a little cheaper than that one.
