Hey Carys! All your symptoms sounded like low blood sugar - pretty common in pregnancy! The spread and pasta you made looked delicious but it was all slow acting carbohydrate (bread, pasta, crackers), and low/no carb things (carrots, hummus, cheese etc)! when your blood sugar is having a dip it’s important to have a small amount of fast acting carbohydrate to quickly raise your blood sugar, and then some slow acting carbohydrate e.g a biscuit or a piece of bread to maintain your blood sugar. Next time you feel like that definitely try having a small glass of orange juice, or spreading something like jam on you toast, even some water with a 2 teaspoons of sugar dissolved in! I’m always hungry too, I feel like I’m having to really slow down, things are getting harder, etc. I’m having a hard time with not being completely independent and having to have my husband help me with a lot of things!

The highlight of my weekend has finally arrived ♥️🙌Quick question about the garage, shouldn’t that door between the utility room and mini garage be a fire door? Unfortunately we had a fire at my family home a few weeks ago in the garage but luckily it didn’t spread into the main house all thanks to the fire door. The fire completely destroyed the garage and the fire brigade have told us if it wasn’t for the fire door between the house and the garage my family may not have got out in time. I love your vlogs I love the renos I love the pregnancy! I actually had my first baby this past March and I had him 2 days after I turned 38 weeks! I went into labor the day after my 38 week appointment I had no idea I was even in labor until my water broke at home! Then I had him the morning after I went in to hospital! From what I know when you snack on fruits it’s always good to pair them with something more “filling”. I’m not sure if that’s the right word, but for example, when you eat a banana or an apple try to eat it with e.g., peanut butter. Or add some cashews and whatever nuts you like. Also you can add fruits to your breakfast as a snack so for example if you have cereal, you can add blueberries or raspberries just to even out the nutrients.

Just a suggestion carys, cut your fresh pieces of bread in half and then you’ll have 4 halves instead of 2 whole pieces and it makes it easier to toast xx

Really handy safety tip when cooking to start getting into the habit of now, turn all your pots and pans handles to the back / as side as you can and still reach safely to use them, especially when you walk away from them. Handles sticking out the front , not pushed to the back enough are unfortunately an easy grab for tiny people, so starting the habit before your baby comes along will make it second nature by the time she is at grabbing anything hight.

Car seat manual has all the info you need, but if it's confusing- look for whatever the UK equivalent of a child passenger safety technician is. They'll help you get the seat fitted properly and show you how to double check. (But as a basic guide, you should be able to grab the base of the seat at the belt path and firmly wiggle it side to side/front and back and it won't move more than 1" in any direction. Do this WITHOUT the seat attached for the infant seat.)

Yes! I was about to comment on your tea drinking with the iron lol. Glad you got the information. Caffeine in tea and coffee blocks the uptake of iron.. :)
