Al, you are an amazingly HARD worker !! Watching you put up the scaffolding by yourself 🤭...my goodness 🤪 This greenhouse would have been done sometime ago had it not been for all the glitches in the weather. I truely enjoy watching you and Gina working together. What a blessing you are to each other. 🙂 Having Olivia home during this time must be a sweet blessing too. She is a delight for us followers of your channel. She is a beautiful soul from the inside out. 🥰 She is growing up right before our eyes 👀👀 !!! But then, that's how it's supposed to be , right? Wouldn't want it any other way 😊 God bless you all and keep you safe and strong in His tender care. Lots of love and prayers from Oregon 🙏💕👍👍 Was excited to see Tanner this morning...glad he's healed up from his injury. I still can't seem to get my " guesser" working accurately....haven't got the egg count right for along time...😂

Good morning Lumnahs... you’re right about the journey and how you want your high tunnel. The weather hasn’t been favorable in your neck of the woods, but your time management is excellent and I commend you and Gina for instilling good values in Olivia. The way things are going in the world, it’s good to have a plan B and C as you work on the homestead. Those rogue chickens sure are pumping out a lot of eggs. True blessings. Even with the crazy weather, we have to be vigilant. I was working in my yard and it started to rain. Hawaii has been having lovely breezes and sunshine ( though it threw a monkey wrench in my plans to till my yard.) It’s ok... it’s a journey. Have a blessed and safe day everyone 🤙

Props for working past a fear of heights. I was watching you set up the staging and when you climbed up on the second level, thought “Nope, couldn’t do it.” The store was pretty bad down here, but we were able to get stuff battened down quickly and pulled the cover off the mobile greenhouse, so nothing got shredded. 👍

Tornado! In New Hampshire? Crazy times! That greenhouse is HUGE! But why not go big. You'll find ways to fill it. I can't wait to see how you use all that vertical space! The three of you make such a great work force! When you think of all the things going on behind the scenes; the laundry, cooking, cleaning, editing, schooling, homestead chores and building, it's very impressive! But, Al, you look like you could use a little rest about now! Take care all.

I'm not thrilled with heights either. Remember, I lost a dear friend who fell off a scaffold. We are having bad weather too. An inch of rain over night with another 4 - 8" of rain by Thursday. I hope your weather calmed down! Tornadoes don't like mountains, we might have an occasional microburst but tornadoes and hurricanes die down when they hit the mountains. Blessings to all.

I think with where you live this Green house is a huge step towards being able to grow enough food and variety to live comfortably! I think this is a great addition to the homestead, wish I could afford one sooner rather than later. eggs, I saute onions and in summer tomato with some avo oil and garlic salt , then pour the mixed eggs (with a splash of milk) over that and scramble them in the pan. in winter sometimes green onion. will also sometimes put in herbs for different seasoning, just ot change it up.

Just a suggestion for when you replace the plastic. Try using a good sharp pair of scissors. Its really easy to cut too deep or to far into the channel with a utility knife. I have done that myself. Later on that cut will manifest itself into a problem on the other side of the wire channel. Love what you all are doing here! Chuck

for scrambled eggs we add diced ham, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, and add shredded cheddar cheese once cooked and on the plate than zap it in microwave for about 20 seconds just to get the cheese melting. Sometimes we add diced tomato or sliced black olives if we have any left over from taco's or enchiladas the night before.

Suggestion for greenhouse: start thinking about how you are going to water your plants. Options are hand watering, sprinklers, or drip lines. Either way you are going to run a hose or water line out there. High tunnels are extremely productive but you don't benefit from natural rainfall. Probably most effective would be zone drip lines because different plants need different amount of water, but the other options could work as well.

Ooooh, sprouts in the morning - risky, lol. I totally get the greenhouse where you live - have one really secure one that's ok in storms. You can always add caterpiller ones for better weather times of year. The weather's so unpredictable these days that greenhouses are more valuable, though also more difficult - the one I set up this winter got to fly quite a way after a sudden violent storm here in southern England, before it was "extra" tethered. Yikes. Admiring your persistence and skills with this rather major build.

Sounds like you'e getting our usual Colorado weather there in NH; while we're enjoying a 88° today. Hope the tornado passed you by and things work out for you and your friends to get the plastic up on the greenhouse. Nice of them to help out. BTW - I guessed 14 today - and two for Rusty's girls yeah me! lol Sometimes Gina, we do our eggs with diced potatoes, onions and mild chili peppers. Then wrap them into a flour tortilla with a little cheese and for breakfast burritos. Leftovers? Wrap in aluminum foil and put them in fridge for another day or for quick snacks. Easy to reheat in toaster oven. A little salsa or green chili on the side goes great.

I am putting hoops over 3 4x8' beds with row cover on them to keep the bugs out of the greens and squash too. Pulling plastic brings back memories. We waited one time for three months before we caught a day the wind wasn't blowing to hard. You can pull plastic with a small breeze. Irregardless, if a gust of wind comes up and gets under the plastic and turns it into a para-sail don't try to hold it down, let go. Make sure everybody helping to pull plastic understands that.

I don’t like tornado anything...watch’s, warnings, it doesn’t matter which one I don’t like them. I live in tornado alley and every spring tornado’s is a common occurrence around here. Ugh.. The greenhouse is going to be so beneficial for your family. I can’t wait for the next video to see how that plastic is going to go up. I built a small hoop house after watching your video on it and I did fine until...yep, the plastic. I used so much plastic just trying to get it right. So I’m anxious to see this go up in a much larger fashion. Good luck Lumnahs!! It looks so nice !

In Northern Arizona we have the usual spring wind. Otherwise our weather keeps switching between Summer and Spring.

We used a cherry picker to wash the P-3 back in the day, in VP-22 when it was at Barbers Point Hawaii to wash the salt spray off. The tail is 30 feet high

Hey, Al. I sure hope y'all are getting at least a part of the pay for all the 'commercials' they are sticking in your shows! Oh, yeah, I'm really looking forward to the day we get to see the fully built green house!

Like the shirt you are wearing Gina...went to look at your store..but it's not there. Nice shirt....recall when we in NJ started getting Tornado warnings...still get them...I pray it goes around..with Hurricane Sandy too..God answered that prayer. Praying God keeps you safe...and it goes around you.

I was thinking that maybe you could build a small chair or shelf for the babies to sleep under and the added benefit of giving Livy a place to sit and hold the babies. 😁
