I've watched a few of these as a newbie - winterizing - yours without doubt was the most informative and detail i have watched.. Unusual for a ordinary person to mention exercising batteries as a necessity. It is essential for healthy batteries. That comes from an electrical engineer WELL DONE !!

Thank you for your kind words. I can only say my husband worked in the vehicle battery industry for a few years and listening to him obviously sank in 😂

I've just bought my 1st motorhome 2 weeks ago and this has been super helpful. It's 6m and I use it as my everyday vehicle too so is it ok to leave cupboards shut and mattress in situ etc at night?

Congratulations. It’s an addictive pastime 😀 If you’re driving it everyday I assume you have the heater on while you’re driving? If the mattresses aren’t needed daily I’d be tempted to remove them until you need them, unless you can keep the heating on low at night? Is it plugged in at home?

I'm driving it 4 days per week for an hour so yes I've had the heating on. I'm going to bring the mattress inside as a precaution. The heater is run from the vehicles diesel via a webasto system. How long would you run it for for on the days I'm not out? It's quite overwhelming when you first do the handover. Total information overload 😅 but I'm very excited planning out trips for when the snow disappears 😊

It is indeed overwhelming but it will become second nature very quickly. With no water in your system and mattress taken out, your trips in the vehicle will be sufficient. Using it all year round is the best part of owing it. Enjoy
