Thank you for the great information! And, as a plus, many of the stachy high glycemic foods such as breads, potatoes, cooked rice, cooked oats, etc, placed into the freezer, the starches become resistant starches and have less of an impact on blood sugar levels when eaten. Something about the bursting of the sugar cells and how that process creates resistant starches.

I am so glad I found your channel. My husband is growing multiple baskets of potatoes and sweet potatoes. I have stored them in my cellar in a crate and they don’t last as long. I’m going to purchase those bags. I’ll be a friend of yours for every video you post. Have a great week.!

You share great information was a pleasure listening I could almost hear my Mom’s voice. She stored potatoes & onions in the darker area of the kitchen & not near each other so I followed her lead didn’t know why so thank you for explaining

Thank you. Yep, olive oil. We purchase the big gallon jugs of olive oil and fill our little decanter up and the rest of the gallon goes in the fridge.

Good morning it’s good to see you. Wow, I’m guilty of storing my potatoes in the fridge. We don’t eat potatoes every day so, they would go bad pretty quick. Did I mention we live in Florida? If it’s not in the fridge it goes bad quickly. Sorry but I keep onions in the fridge too. Olive oil and avocado oil in the pantry. I grew Basil, dried it shared some and it’s in the pantry. Great information thank you.

Are there any kind of herbs that I should not have around my cats? I’ve been wanting to bring in some plants but I’m afraid my babies might try to eat on them.

Why aren't houses built with a cold room, on purpose, the old house i grew up.in did have a nice cold room, in the basement. Maybe because a lot of houses don't have a basement.

The only problem we have is that we love cold tomatoes. I know that it affects it, but it tastes great cold

Best way I have found to keep avocados is to buy them hard and put into refrigerator until 2 days before you want to eat it then it will ripen to perfection, Don't place avocados in refrigerator if they have started to soften or they will turn black.
@dianatrans18045 ай бұрын
Mine don’t, as soon as I see they are softening I pit in fridge they are perfectly green and last in there for a couple weeks atleast.
