The very best Banana Bread is so easy to make! This is my absolute favorite recipe for using up overripe bananas, it's soft, moist, and bursting with banana, brown sugar, and cinnamon flavors. Slathered with melted butter it's perfect alongside a hot cup of coffee for breakfast.

My mom grew up poor and didn’t always have food. So she rarely wasted food. She always made banana bread when they bananas were too ripe. She’s an amazing cook and baker. I should have her write down her recipes. I love your channel, new subscriber. ❤️

For all my lazy chefs out there, I did this recipe in one bowl with one fork and one spatula. Mixed all the dry ingredients together first and then added the room temp butter and eggs, followed by the cooled down baked bananas and it turned out excellent! Also threw in a half cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and it was phenomenal.

@@isabellagraves8237 I've actually done this recipe with 2 different pans and it worked great both times. One was a glass 8x11 casserole dish and the other was a standard 8.5" x 4.5" metal loaf pan. Did both at 350F for about 50 minutes. The glass cooked faster since it was more spread out though so you have to keep an eye on it around the 40 minute mark🙂

@@isabellagraves8237 I've used a standard 9x5 loaf pan but only once and since then I have not seen it so I decided to bake it in a 9x9 brownie pan and everytime I've made this I've baked it for 50 to 60 minutes and they always came out perfectly. If you're worried about over/under baking I would check at the 50 minute mark and stick a wooden toothpick or skewer in. If it comes out relatively clean but with a few crumbs it should be fine. If underbaking it is the fear I've stuck it back in the oven for 10 more minutes and it still comes out nice. The bread is fairly forgiving in my experience.

Just had my entire family try it and they LOVED it. A few alterations I made: - Used whipped up browned butter to bring a nutty flavor when paired with brown sugar. Trust me on this. It's soo much better. - I had to measure the brown sugar in cups instead of in weight because 150g originally yielded too much sugar for me! - had to separate the batter into 2 baking dishes for baking - only baked the bread for about 40 mins in my oven! It was perfectly cooked.

easy recipe, after making it for 4-5 times, i started adding 2 more bananas, for a total of five, and i don t put them in the oven anymore because i noticed that if you don t let them cool properly in the banana peel, and peel them off while they are still hot, to much of the water evaporates from them and they have a dry fell in the cake. So now i mash them with a fork and leave them on the table for 10 minutes, remash them, and they are great, no dry tasting banana bred, even if the bananas were not ripped. A great and easy recipe and thank you for the metric measurements !

When I tried tonight, the top ended up burnt. Just wanna know if you are adding water to the other pan below? If not, how else could I prevent the top of the bread from burning? - I placed the bread in the middle of the oven. - Baked at 170°C for 20 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 150°C and continue baking for 30 minutes.

Just baked this today and it was delicious! Here are some troubleshooting tips based on my experience: 1. I did use extremely ripe bananas, so it was slightly too sweet. So make sure you guys adjust the amount of sugar accordingly. The riper the banana, the less added sugar you need. Mine were literally about to decompose lol. 2. I creamed the butter and sugar for too long. When I added the eggs, it split. If this happens, don't panic. Just add in your dry ingredients and bake. It'll smooth out once you've folded in the dry ingredients and will bake perfectly fine. It's best not to cream the butter and sugar together for too long though. Do it just until the butter is slightly fluffier and a pale yellow in color. The sugar doesn't have to dissolve all the way. 3. One of my bananas was in the fridge, which brought down the temperature of my batter and caused it to split. USE ALL ROOM TEMPERATURE INGREDIENTS!! 4. Ovens are very different. I baked mine for five minutes less since my oven is really small. You might have to bake for longer or shorter depending on your oven.

Holy crap that kitchen is incredible! Edit: I made this recipe and added 3/4 cup of coarsely crushed walnuts to the batter. It was absolute perfection 👌 Thanks John.

Watched your video early this morning. As it was had bananas that were extremely ripe, it not all the way. So afterwards, decided to go for it. Hit them in the oven as described turned them into mush. Also used your brown sugar add on with reg. Added a few choc chips in and on top. Took 70 minutes AND IT WAS AMAZING JOHN.. Thank you so much!!!!!

He's such a cute dad. Love seeing him and his kid together I love it. People make me sick when they act like people who aren't straight shouldn't have kids. I can tell this dude's probably a better father than most of our fathers. Including mine. I really loved mine a lot but he had his problems.. really bad alcoholic =[. He did his best though. Just saying this dudes a way better parent than a ton of straight parents... Idk why it made me think of that but whatever it's true

Delicious! I used frozen bananas that I thawed in the microwave at half power for 30 seconds. It really is incredibly moist. I needed 60 minutes in the oven. A wonderful way to use all those bananas I've been throwing in the freezer when they became too ripe.

I'm new to your channel and I just love it! I'd suggest to have the ingredients written either on the screen or in the box you have below the video. It would cut down the times we go back and forth to catch them. Thanks!

I made this recipe today because I had some bananas that needed to be used or thrown away. I love banana nut bread. The only difference is I added chopped walnuts. This was amazing. I've already eaten 2 slices. This is by far the best recipe I've ever made of banana bread and I've made a lot of them. Thanks so very much for such a great recipe.

I made this last weekend, used weight measurements. I also used the hand mixer instead of folding in dry ingredients. I was worried cause my consistency was more liquidy than yours by quite a bit. Baked for 50min and it came out amazing. Stayed moist and soft for days. We finished the last bit of it on Thur with a cuppa tea, was still great. This is now in my personal recipe list. thanks

I've tried 2 or 3 different banana bread recipes and this is the only one that went out exactly as it supposed to be. It's moist and rich but not sticky. It also backed through perfectly unlike other recipes.

Thank you for this recepie. So far this banana bread recepie is the best I've tried. It's not only moist, but it's fluffy as well. Seriously the consistency is like a store bought one. My whole family loved it. I did't have brown sugar at home so I used coconutflower sugar instead of white sugar and it came out amazing. Also added some goji berries and whole almonds. I'm gonna experiment further on whith this base recepie. Thank you again. 🙏

I only had 2 bananas and didn’t have as much brown sugar as I thought so used have white sugar and half brown sugar. It turned out soooo good! It’s not overly sweet, it’s just perfect!

This worked so well! I used 2 bananas and 3 eggs instead of the other way around and no vanilla + added choco chips, raisins, and pecan pieces. I also used a flat baking sheet instead of the bread mold and put it in for aprox 30 min - it turned out so yummy! 🤓💕
