Mam Only while and because adverb clauses can be reduced? Before ,after, since can't be reduced

See my other reply. The changes with before, after, and since can be explained as reductions, or as changing the form to prepositional phrases. I prefer to look at them as prepositional phrases.

Thank you Jeanie for this wonderful lesson *Boiling water* I understand the water is doing this action not receiving it, so Boiling is an active form used as an adjective to describe the water. But what about these ones *Waiting room* and *Drinking water* . I know they answer the questions what kind of room and what kind of water, so they should be an adjectives describing room and water . but what confused me was whether or not *waiting* and *drinking* have an active meaning? i.e Are water and room doing the action? could the the room wait? could the water drink? Would you please clarify this for me please ?

That is an excellent question, Haider. In your examples, 'boiling' is a present participle used as an adjective, as you noted, and therefore it gives the active meaning to show that the water is doing and not receiving the boiling. Conversely, 'waiting' and 'drinking' are present participles that are used as gerunds (nouns), so the examples of 'waiting room' and 'drinking water' are in fact compound nouns, not adjectives plus nouns. Just like you can say that the tea cup is the cup for tea, the waiting room is the room for waiting, and the drinking water is the water for drinking.

Good evening Before going to London, he had learnt English. GOING is gerund or not ? On seeing the dog, he fled with fear. Mam seeing is gerund?

Many grammar books will say that these are reduced adverbial clauses, i.e., adverbial phrases, where the subject is omitted and the verb is changed to the present participle. An alternative explanation is that these adverbial phrases are also prepositional phrases (because prepositional phrases are a type of adverbial structure), and when you have a preposition (before, on), you need to have a noun form, which would mean that 'seeing' and 'going' are gerunds. I personally prefer that explanation because it makes sense with the structure of prepositional phrases. But honestly, you can explain it either way! The important thing is to use the correct form.

Is this new tenses in English dear teacher?

I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking if a present participle is a verb tense? It is a verb form, not a verb tense. However, the progressive verb tenses all use the present participle form in them.
