My father used to go to a club in Dayton Ohio and drag me along and I saw Jimmie and them hyper sweaty Thunderbirds in the hallway and thought....who are these guys? The Owner laughed his name was Jerry and then they all laughed. I never knew until I was in college what they sounded like but I know I wish I would have been able to see them that night. It was 1979 or maybe 1980. What a wonderful vid Gary is as fine a player as we could ask for in these times of hard to find roots music.
