Jim Gaffigan goes something like: We never go through the old photos and videos on our computer and clean them up any more. We just buy a new computer. In our closet we have our wedding computer. And our vacation computer. And the computer I had when I was a bachelor. I should destroy that.

My PowerPoint story: So, it was sixth grade and we had to all do a project about something we were interested in And then make a PowerPoint and present it to the entire class. What are my friends procrastinated until literally the last moment and she had about 20 minutes to do her project. She ended up presenting a PowerPoint titled "The Life Cycle of Spikies." At first it was just your average poorly made animal project complete with bad stock images, but it quickly devolved from there. Here's how it went: - Spikies start as little eggs (with a picture of a sea urchin) -Spikies grow into adolescents (with a picture of a hedgehog) -Spikies reach adulthood after two years (with a picture of a porcupine) -Spikies eat berries and corn (with a picture of a porcupine eating corn) -When spikies reach sexual maturity, they go into the water and become aquatic spikies (with a picture of a puffer fish) -During mating season, spikies return to land to lay eggs (with a picture of a spiny from Mario) It was the best thing ever. Everyone was laughing, including my friend who was presenting. We used a grading system from 1 to 4 (1= no effort, 4= amazing effort), and despite doing it in 20 minutes, having no facts, and meeting no criteria, my teacher gave her a 2+ 😂

Once threw together a PowerPoint for informatics where I was meant to make a little quiz using hyperlinks to other slides. I put so much effort into everything, hand picked the best memes and music for every question, every question was a completely different topic from the last to avoid predictability, the answer slides had a nice animation to add dramatic effect to the reveals of right and wrong, and I even added a series of results slides grading performance. It was PERFECT. All I had to do was present it on the online class and let the class take the qui- The teacher presented my PowerPoint without going over it, so he didn't get the reveals for the answers, he didn't get the results slides right, my classmates didn't hear the music, or the video reward for getting all 6 points in the presentation. I even added a fakeout result slide for cheeky brats who claimed to get any more than 6 points, and it all went to scheiße because my dipshit teach couldn't be bothered to evaluate my masterpiece beforehand

@꧁its zabir꧂ nemesis is your formidable enemy (arch-enemy). It's not just the two of you being on opposite sides on one occasion but there's multiple occasions (I did a quick search and it's "someone you cannot beat", "gets the best out of you" or very hard to beat). 5:12 That is actually an early picture of RMS Olympic. She was hit by HMS Hawke in an acciednt in a harbour, then sank U-103 by ramming it in WWI, then got torpedoed but not breached, then sailed for another 15 years before colliding with the Nantucket lightship, repaired, and sailed for another 2 years before being retired and scrapped. In Bio 101, each student was assigned a genetic conditions to do a presentation on. I got Dwarfism. I covered various forms of it, history of it, persecution of people suffering from it such as the "sport" of Dwarf throwing, and so on. In Bio 102 , same instructor, we got the same task with more complex conditions The instructor hand picked for me to do a presentation of Hermaphrodism because he liked the one I did on Dwarfism and trusted I could tackle such a condition in a mature manner. Most of the presentation was professional, dealing with various things such as Kleinfelter's syndrome, when a person has XXY sex chromosomes, and so forth. However, simply because he said he trusted me to "be mature about the subject" I opened the presentation with a rotating male/female combined gender symbol and a midi file of Aerosmith's "Dude looks like a lady"

What's so absurd about 1:25? Is it that the S in the SMART acronym stands for smart, so it's self-referential? Smart, motivation, aim high, right attitude, I can't see what the T stands for. That's the only thing irregular about it. Maybe.... the "A" and the "IM HIGH" in aim high are in different fonts and separated a little, so if you don't take in the whole picture at once you'd think it's saying "I'm high"? In my history class we were presenting bills of rights, one group who I can’t remember which bill they did has a skid with dogs that blend into the background. One of them was a dog that looked like bread, why? Who knows. I honestly bet even the boys who made it didn’t know why they did it. My groups presentation was boring though because nobody would let me decorate our slides. (Then again the last time some kid let me decorate a presentation I made it look like it came strait out of a horror movie, and maybe gossip just travels fast in my school-) It’s not your problem if I want to use blood red letters in a creepy font style, it’s my masterpiece, okay? I why can’t we add a slightly odd photo/painting of someone from that time period of this being made? No one appreciates my effort…

I wish I still had my powerpoint on warplanes. For science, we had to do a "history of science" project, and so I decided to do one on how the aerodynamics of warplanes evolved. Well, focusing on aerodynamics to the exclusion of other factors was predictably a very bad idea. I rushed it in the end, eyeballing a lot of stuff and using very loose conjecture. In it I hyper focused on the size of control surfaces over other factors, and even claimed the Bf110 was a ripoff of the P-38. Still got 100% because just about everything I mentioned about specific aircraft was over my highschool teacher's head anyway. If I was grading myself from the future, I would have failed myself and made me redo it, strongly suggesting to take my time and broaden the subject. Also at 5:38 yes, I was a child in the late 90s so yes I remember that. To this day, I still can't bring myself to post actual pictures of myself on Facebook, just feels weird to me. I remember the story from one of my late years at school. English lesson about analyzing movie scenes so the teachers of the two classes wanted to watch a movie with us or at least a few scenes from it, so we went with around 50 students and two teachers to the media room and the teacher started the PC and activated the projector so we could see the screen. But for unknown reasons, the computer wouldn't read this dvd the teacher brought with her. So how should we watch the movie then? In this moment, one guy from my class stood up from his seat. He was one of these typical "big strong bois" who always wanted to act cool in front of everyone. He went to the teacher and said "Don't worry, I know how to fix this!" so she let him use the computer. Since the projector was still active, we could see exactly what he was doing. He opened the internet browser and went on a very sketchy looking website where he hoped to find a (probably illegal) way to stream this movie for free. In my opinion, this was already pretty impressive that he did this sh*t in front of the teachers but the big moment happened when he finally found the movie. He klicked on the icon that was supposed to play the video, but instead it opened a pop-up window that filled the entire screen. It showed the picture of an old and fully naked woman and the text below said: "Do you want to F*** Carolyn (69 years old)?" Within 0,02 seconds the entire class bursted out laughting and I swear, the big guy was a lot smaller after this :)

What most of these did was make me sad for society. Too many people not checking that their computers are prepared for presentation before turning them on. I don't even get on a zoom call without checking my computer in case I'm asked to share something (which has a very small chance of happening most of the time).

IKR. I was at one presentation where the writer was so high that he couldn't use the mouse. The organiser clicked thru all the slides for him while he talked. It was strange. He had a lot of interesting stuff to talk about but needed each slide to remind him to focus 🙄

For my business comm course last semester, these three guys made such good presentation on "tailoring your message" or something. they made a whole skit with "this is what you should NOT do" and then the "correct answer" scenario. one where the waiter accidentally gave the customer his allergy ("hey chef this guy is allergic to peanuts" "ok" *gives him just a straight up jar of peanut butter*) and the waiter runs in and panics and tells the guy oh my god I'm so sorry you're probably gonna die etc etc hfhdhshs it was so good also it's wild to me how many people are just. allowed to take out their phones and take pictures in class presentations. technically it's not legal unless you get everyone's permission, at least in the united states. 3:11 HE LOOKS LIKE THE "WELL WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS" VINE GUY also y'all who TF just leaves sexy times up on their devices fr bookmark it for later or something jesus

I never did a bizarre presentation but it was a regular Google Slides presentation. I always liked to do those in middle school cuz it was fun to find the images on Google for each slide.

if I tried to put something funny on my presentation slides at my college, only a handful of the teachers would find it funny. The rest would scold (or rather humiliate) me for an hour in front of the class, then give me an F.
