It's interesting that President Obama's success happened late, but once it happened it was at warp speed. To think he was elected to the US Senate in 2004, and his political career officially ended in 2016. That's a really short time to make such an incredible impact on the world. What a great journey

The careful and hesitant way in which Obama expresses himself in this interview (the stuttering and parsing of every word out of his mouth) shows a man who learned early on that he is indeed a black man moving thru a white world and must proceed with caution, always presenting a pleasant demeanor and making no sudden moves. Unfortunately, that attitude continued thru his Presidency and kept this brilliant man and wonderful family man from being a truly great President rather than just a good one. That he is revered around the world shows the truth because a good part of the world is not white. Too many concessions to too many others (all white) in this one held him back from his own best instincts. And today he agrees in his own new book. Nothing confirms better the terrible injustice that continues to this day that the color of one's skin still determines the level of power one holds in this society.

He needs his own show. He speaks so eloquently and is incredibly personable. His ratings would go through the roof. No one since Johnny Carson has had more charisma the Obama.

As someone from the UK America was lucky to have this man. Cool, calm and collected this man was America in a nutshell. Going from him to the Rotting Orange of Trump is mind blowing, I’m just glad Biden now has the reins for the rest of the world. God bless the USA and the rest of the world!

It would be amazing for Michelle Obama's mother to write a book of her life/raising Craig and Michelle. Also about her life in White House. :)

I remember hearing about Barack Obama and where I was. I'd watched his speak and his words struck a chord in my heart. I remember asking a coworker about him. I said, I think you should check him out. The rest is history.

The way he casually says 'he maxed out on his credit cards' seems so American to my European ears. Apparently, running into debt becomes part of an American live sooner or later. I'm middle class and my only debt is my mortgage. Paying that off still allows me to safe money. I'm not saying nobody in Europe has debts - there are plenty who do! - but they tend not to become the leader of their country (if you get what I'm saying).
