Adding a great tip i discovered this week. Tapping several times with the left click of your mouse on the main workflow page's tempo place will set up the new tempo automatically. Very convenient instead of opening a plug-in for this !

This is great! I used Cakewalk for the last 15 years, recently ported over to Studio One, and I was really missing the dedicated bus for the metronome in Cakewalk. If I wanted to adjust the level of the click, I was going into the metronome settings and changing the sliders. Very annoying. I had no idea the Master bus has a little volume control for the click, that'll be handy moving forward. Thanks so much!

I'm sad to see there's not a way to customize the metronome further. for example, if I'm in 5/8, how would I specify if I want the accents on 1 and 3 or 1 and 4? this would be incredibly useful for prog rock or even works by Bernstein (profination for example) and that's just the tip of the iceberg of potential examples and uses. This is a feature I've seen requested for years and other DAWs at least have progress towards a fully customizable metronome, yet PreSonus with Studio One seems to never update it

Hi, the Metronome and Precount are available in all versions of Studio One. If you can’t find these icons in the Transport Bar, please make sure that you are showing all available buttons in the “View -> Customization -> Edit Customization…” menu at the top. Hope this helps! -GBY

This may be a stupid question, but what if the song has multiple time signature changes? Would the accent patterns (the customized ones you created for the different time sigs) shift automatically on the click track? Or would you have to add them manually after the fact?

Every KZbin video shows the wrench and metronome icon in the lower section of the board...except mine. Am I the only one who doesn't have those icons there and if so...how do I get them to show.

Hi Vito, Please make sure that you're not hiding any menu buttons in the Customization Editor that's located in the menu bar at the top: "View -> Customization". Hope this helps. -GBY

Without the ability to have a third sound for beat one of compound time signatures like 12/8 9/8 6/8 ect... there is no way to distinguish them all from 3/4, also, how do you program the metronome when recording a piece that changes time signatures?

Hi Jason, the click will follow the tempo and signature tracks - so if your piece changes the time signature, and you're indicating that with a time signature automation node in the time signature track, then the click will follow and change the time signature accordingly as well. -GBY

I'd like to see an improvement, such as exists in Cubase, that one can disable certain beats of the click. This is almost indispensable when recording to a 5/4 or 7/4 click.

Me too. I like to design my own accents for time signatures like 5/8 and 7/8. The beats might be arranged like 2,3 or 3,2 For the 5/8 and 2-2-3 or 3-2-2 divisions for 7/8.

Jesus why add an extra button. spent last night trying to get sound out of studio one six metronome. felt like stickting my head through the monitor. Thanks but is this extra button on the main mixer output really nessascary. or is it just what termed a safety feature. I can vouch for how effective it is. It really safe you can't here anything.

Hi, this button is necessary so that you can decide on which output you want to hear the click. You may not want to hear it through your speakers at all times - maybe just through your headphones out. -GBY

I need to make a metronome louder. I have all sliders to the MAX and it is still to quiet. When I play the tracks the metronome volume is still to low. How can I fix this ???

Hi Arthur, have you double checked that the Metronome level is up both in the Metronome settings (Wrench icon next to the Metronome icon in the Transport Bar), as well as on the respective Output channel (slider next to the Metronome icon in the Mixer)? -GBY
