Excellent discussion. Most people trying to figure out macroeconomics and geopolitics miss the key points you two understand and explain. I just hope people listen and learn. I'm older and running out of time for me, but I am still bound and determined to get out of the evil system, the greedy banksters, the political psychopaths, and the debt-based profit motives. I only wish Bitcoin happened 30 or 40 years ago, but I'm still trying to live forever (so far, so good). Maybe there will be some relief even for me (and I am only human, not trying to be selfish) when Bitcoin finally takes off again.

I think Lawrence Lepard is probably the smartest person I follow in this space, or perhaps I should temper that by saying he has an incredible grasp of economics, Bitcoin, gold, etc., and he couples it with this profound desire to help people. He really does want the world to be a better place. Plus, like me, he knows what he doesn't know, and follows really smart people. Unfortunately we've spent the last hundred years completely destroying the global economy by using debt-based money and we have probably grown much faster than we would have otherwise on a planet with finite resources. Hopefully if we can get on a Bitcoin standard in the next few decades that will all change and we will be better off with organic growth instead.

Great discussion Preston, your podcast has taught me a great deal in the last 18 months. However, I do see some hypocrisy in the position of: QE is irresponsible and the central banks’ monetary policy is too loose, and now saying: central banks have to pivot, if they raise rates and maintain QT too long they will destroy the economy… Seems like one can’t have it both ways? A future episode discussing some potential solutions in the short/mid term would be great to hear (knowing that a solution is very difficult!)
