My dad and I got Disarming Leviathan and I lent it to my pastor. It's been a great resource and a great reminder to embrace humility above all else! Thanks for you work Caleb. Also Preston I'm planning on leading a small group study through Nonviolence, thanks for you work.

This is really good and really needed right now. I am not American, but I can see that Christian Nationalism is a uniquely American problem and the vast majority of people within the movement seem to be nominal Christians. It’s encouraging to see Biblical pushback against it.

Christian Nationalism is a huge problem at my current church (my pastor even endorsed Trump in a sermon, has endorsed local candidates, and spent a lot of time talking about how Christians have a duty to vote) and we even had a voter registration booth at our church :D We have a lot of folks who are very active in the local Republican party here. It is very tough for someone like me who has more anabaptist leanings and feels very strongly against some of these things. We have had people leave because of it. Learning to love these folks despite these things, however, has been a huge area of growth for me. Love this podcast!

Really looking forward to this discussion as I'm genuinely struggling to connect to churches that have begun to worship the idol of Christian nationalism.

I am reminded of the Christian witch hunting days…kinda what was going on with all the stupid legal stuff while the judges family was getting rich off of it.

I’m a Christian and served my country. What’s the problem?

I’m eight min in and there’s been no def of Chr.Nat, so no way to figure out where he is drawing the line between patriotism and nationalism. So…does the author toe the line on progressive talking points and call anyone who doesn’t “nationalist?”

You need to come to a Texas border before you have a opinion on immigrants coming across our border. We want all people to have an opportunity to have a American Dream but it needs to be legally and not in mass quantities of people. I volunteer with Immigrants that come here legally and it breaks my heart to see what they go through to become an American citizen and other people just walk across the border. It is not fair. We need to know how many people we have in this country every one should pay their fair share of paying taxes to be apart of this society. We have Americans struggling to put food on their table and we let 11 million people in our country. There are young girls and young boys that are sold to be sex slaves and most of the immigrants come with a wrist band telling how much money they owe to the cartel that brought them here. We have ranchers who find dead bodies of women and children on their ranch; they find dead people in the river that have drowned. I hate to hear people say it is because we are afraid of immigrants THAT IS NOT TRUE!

Let me ask about all this talk. Have either of you contacted the government and asked them to send some of these illegal immigrant’s to your homes?
