I had read that it was ordered that Ethan's name not be spoken in court which is why the defense attorney is calling Ethan "the shooter". I know I was just a shock as you maybe right now at this decision from the court. Not sure I believe it was several months ago that this decision was made.

I feel sorry for them all, but that is part of what is wrong with America these days. An American friend told me that "America is broken!" Where else would normal parents buy a weapon to their child, crazy or not. A US network has a daily gun tracker and this reading is tragic and frightening. If you have a gun, chances are that you will use it at some point. If you don´t have one, you will find other - less violent - solutions to most problems.

I own guns and I have taught my children how to use them. We target practice together. But with that said I have taught safety to them and my guns are under lock and key. ....we need to make an example of these two. you own a gun, you're responsible for it 24/7. Period. Should it be stolen (by an outside party, not a member of your household), that's another issue to be considered, but if it's under your jurisdiction, you're on the hook for what it does. You can't discipline the crazy out of someone. While I don't disagree that discipline is needed for all children, I personally feel he needed psychological help far more than discipline. He was clearly calling out for help and being ignored by these two. I don't believe that absolves him of responsibility of shooting up a school full of children, but he did attempt to get help.

I think these defendants are 1000% guilty, however, there has to be a fair trial or conviction will get overturned. They are locked up, they can’t even touch the tops of their own heads throughout a lot of these hearings. Not addressing a hearing impairment could be grounds for an appeal, refusal of accommodation for a hearing impairment, for sure, would be grounds for appeal. Why would you want rights violated? Allowing their rights violated means allowing yours to be violated.

These are non-violent parents. I think it is cruel to set their bond so high that they cannot afford to get out of jail. The court system lets violent criminals out of jail on low bonds or no bond ALL THE TIME! Enough is enough and their bond should be set at a reasonable amount. And if they are going to be tried for negligent homicide, then the parents of other children that commit crimes with guns should also be arrested. This is looking like a kangaroo court.

They did not actually pull the trigger although thy were neglectful. But I read where South Carolina, Texas, California are all letting shooters out. And this couple is chained in court and denied. It just seem strange to me.

Leaving your child to deal with his mental issues despite him asking for help; tell him to "suck it up", buy him a gun, then refuse to take him home when asked by the school & not once mention that gun in the meeting. "LOL, I'm not mad at you. You need to learn not to get caught". Spent all their $ on horses and a gun instead on getting Ethan professional help. Tons of signs that they chose to ignore. The mom was using hands signals and mouthing words to her husband during a prior Zoom hearing. To prevent them from communicating, only one of their hands is left free so they can at least write notes to communicate with their lawyer during the trial.

1 no gun, fake pictures, snail mail The call Ethan made to James, why- reporting a shooter, Ethan was in the middle. He called dad when was happening. Pretty sure you can't aim and dial- no go pro, 2 they didn't inspect crime scene , whole school , should have been closed down, for evidence, including the internet server, 3 counselor did not report to child protective services of issue 4 finally school board state in the letter they were not aware of Ethan but there was another who was suspended/video released of someone saying bro 5. Math test seating chart Ethan was away and they didn't search the bag
