Just watched Pretty Woman for the first time and it left me with so many different emotions. No wonder it's a classic. The pace of movies used to be so peaceful. Barely any music at all to hype up a scene. The emotions you feel come from you. Today's movies don't teach you how to love anymore. They only teach you how to be funny, sassy, that you need to dream of becoming a boss or that that you should hit people. And I love how despite the fact that Julia is from the streets and Richard is a millionaire, the movie makes it very clear that she saves him as much as he saves her. There's no battle of the sexes here. It's true feminism. Cinema today should take classes.

+ChanelASMR The pancake Vivian is eating was, for most of the scene, a croissant. Director Garry Marshall said he liked the performance she gave in the latter part of the scene better, so the croissant magically becomes a pancake, which she began to eat as they did more takes. While this may be the case, there is still a continuity issue. In the first scene with the pancake, she takes a second bite. In the next scene with the pancake in her hand, there is only one bite missing. Not only that, but the the pancake with one bite missing has a different bite pattern and is clearly a different pancake.

@@dreamingdreamer1 Romance or romantic partner maybe the most important in real life but in fiction they get boring after a while. So, mixing up romance with comedy (or politics/drama in case of K-drama or Chinese Drama) makes it more interesting. Also, it probably attracts a lot of young men who unfortunately can't have romance until late 20s but still want to have that fuzzy feeling but too much romance could make feel even more lonelier ❤.

WORTHY OF MENTION… There is a MAJOR FLAW - a continuity issue - in Garry Marshall’s “Pretty Woman” (1990)… In a breakfast scene, Julia Roberts’ character takes a bite out of a CROISSANT. She is in a hotel room with co-star Richard Gere; and when the camera pans back to her, she is having a PANCAKE instead. Then, after she takes a second bite out of the pancake, there is only one bite mark in it‼️ 💙🎬💜
