Tobey was the one who tried to boost Andrew's own morale, calling him amazing, it was Tobey who stopped Tom from murdering Goblin....yet again they didn't just let him have all the spotlight. Andrew got to save MJ. He talked about how he stopped pulling his punches. And Tom got his moments as well; fighting Goblin just beating the SHT out of him, even giving Tobey a run for his money forcing his knees to almost buckle when Tobey was stopping the glider from being brought down on Norman....Each Spider got their moment in the spotlight, when the writers easily could've swung one way towards Tom, Andrew or Tobey. They handled Spider-Man's legacy in film with respect. Love it.
Apparently Tom is the strongest strength wise out of them. Read an article saying that Tom is pretty much the MCU's verison of the comics Peter

NWH fixed his Peter made him not too cool but still having the Andrew vibe. Also he is perfect Spider-Man right? He literally, with his girlfriend overloaded a villain without trying even once to SAVE him. Spider-Man ALWAYS, even if the outcome is awful, tries his hardest to save everyone. That's his thing, he tries to save them not cause more massacre and that's why when JJJ calls him out a menace it sticks out. If you called Andrews Spider-Man a menace in tasm 2, yeah he fits. He is trying to look cooler than being responsible. Tom's version jumped in fire to save the villain. I grew up with Tobey but I grew up with the shows and comics as well and tbh Tobey had only one movie that was good and it's SM2 even though it had some writing problems and he is also another Spider-Man who let's the villain die.

I didn't mind her. She had some good moments. But her death threw me off because it opens way too many problematic questions about Uncle Ben. Did he not give the "great power, great responsibility" talk to Peter? Was she just mentioning it again to further hammer it home? If he didn't give it then why did Peter become Spider-Man at all? I thought from Civil War that they mostly had the same origin story just not needing to show it. But with May's death, I think they almost need to go and cover that now in a flashback. And I can't even consider her death tragic. It was her fault she died. Everything they did with the villains was basically her idea. She just paid for her own choices. Can argue she chose to do the right thing. But that still makes it a price she herself had to pay. Just like how Peter had to pay the price for his own choices in getting his existence forgotten. So in that sense it wasn't a tragic death, but a necessary price paid.
@lewd28512 жыл бұрын
@@Flaris I don't think you understood....well, anything really. I tried to find a singular point of your misunderstanding but there isn't one. First of all, i don't think there ever *was* an Uncle Ben in Tom's Spiderman backstory, or at the very least if there was he wasn't the one to set Peter on that path, so no, he never got to hear that speech. Him giving that speech has nothing to do with Peter becoming Spiderman in the first place, it has to do with teaching Peter the reality of responsibilities and consequences of one who has powers after the fact. And you don't seem to understand the meaning of the word 'tragic'. Her death was absolutely tragic, yes she is the one who pushed Peter to help the villains, she wanted him to not take the easy excuse way and let them die, but to help people whenever he can, because that IS the point of the speech, when you have great power you have the responsibility to help people with it. And she died teaching him that lesson, by one of the very people she pushed him to try and help, that is extremely tragic. Whose 'fault' it was doesn't come into it.

I just really like that it was Tobey who told Andrew that he was amazing, and that he was the one who stopped Tom from killing someone. He was such a dad to the other spiders it was great. And there was no dick measuring contest, there was no quipping between the others, when they did it wasn't in mean spirit, cause that's not Peter, when Tobey and Andrew are talking about their special spots, The Chrysler Building vs Empire State, it doesn't feel forced, it's all natural. And the very first time they meet MCU Peter, it's because they want to help him. BECAUSE THAT'S PETER TO HIS CORE. Each actor brings something different to Peter Parker; Tom is the best ALL AROUND Peter, good at both Spider-Man and Peter, Tobey is a great Peter but not so good Spider-Man, Andrew is a GREAT Spider-Man terrible Peter. But seeing them all here, you're just like "wait hold on no no they ARE all Spider-Man." and that's good writing. It's a CELEBRATION of Spider-Man, not a competition. But it still pays respect to Tobey, the OG, Andrew the underrated underdog, and Tom, the newbie. GOD this movie is a masterclass in how fan service can and should serve the PLOT not the FANS. You CANNOT write Tobey and Peter out of this movie, and still make it work. It's genius.

21:57 See, this movie did change my life a lil bit with that whole profound impact thing. It was Andrew Garfield's moment that did it. Do y'all remember just how badly the Amazing Spiderman films were crapped on at the time? Rotten Tomatoes is kinder now with more recent reviews, but when the movies came out, people were *mad.* It'd only been 5 years since Spiderman 3, and people were bitching up and down that Andrew Garfield wasn't _their_ Spiderman, "it's all a cash grab", etc, etc. Flash forward 10 years, and people screamed, clapped and jumped out of their seats when he came through the portal. All hard feelings weren't just washed away - it was like they never existed. There's zero way in 2012/2014 anyone would believe that someday, years in the future, he would be in a new Spiderman movie...and everyone would lose their goddamn minds over him. I don't know, it feels like a huge life lesson, that we can't judge things based on one moment in time. Sometimes, our redemption arcs...well....they just take awhile to complete.

This movie was supposed to come out after Multiverse of Madness and after watching that it really shows. Everything that felt clunky about the Multiverse in NWH was explained in MOM. The build up to really cool "Cameos" that people felt disappointed by in MOM would've made more sense if that was leading into NWH. Literally this movie obviously ends in an incursion! That's clearly what's happening at the end there! When all the villains are coming to the MCU! That's the universes colliding!

IMO, Garfield wasn't a good high school Peter, but he kills it as a college age or early 20's peter. One who's had time to gain confidence as Peter and not just Spider-Man.

he's a little too cool for peter BUT he's a perfect spidey!

@@PrettyMuchIt He feels like Insomniac Spidey tbh. He's confident because he's been Spider-Man for a while, and has a girlfriend and such...but he's also still got that dweeby energy to him, ya know?

The thing about the three Spider-Men swinging is that there are subtle details to tell you who's who. Basically, anything involving front flips and that aerial semi-crouch pose is Tobey and anything involving a straight dive and twisting acrobatics is Andrew.
