I am no where near getting married with no prospects but I still love Jaime’s videos. I pray one day I will get a chance to plan my wedding.

Praying for that for you! I watched Jamie’s videos before I was ever engaged too. Happily married since 2020! Met my husband on “Coffee Meets Bagel”. 😊

I’m getting married November 25 and one of my bridesmaids suddenly passed away on 9/11. I don’t know how to move forward without her. It’s been difficult and it definitely makes me feel some upcoming wedding day anxiety.

I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. Maybe in some way you can honor her in your wedding. Perhaps having the bridesmaids wearing a locket with her picture or if you’re doing a program, mention her. I will be praying for you.

My cousin carl passed away the year his son, my cousin collin was to graduate high school. We had a large picture of carl in the stands with us and held it up for him to be there. I told this same idea to a coworker (before covid19) whose daughter was getting married, and her fiances father was to be the best man. His father suddenly passed away. I told him about the photo, to have maybe his mother/other person of importance holding the photo of his father, or set it on a high-top table in the best man spot. He loved the idea, and told me afterwards they did the hi-top! We are getting married in oct, and instead of in memory photos are doing a remembrance speach. Opening with honoring loved ones in the month of all hallows eve, names and ages, something loving and sweet after name call, and then moving on to other speaches so it doesnt end sad, but our hearts feel them with us ❤ I hope some of these ideas help you ❤ im so sorry for your loss 💔 i would be devastated without my best friend! Shes been in my life since we were 8, and now we are 34. I feel your heart ache.

Jamie you should do videos about how to do a processional without a bridal party and flower girl alternatives to petals. Some vendors have a cleaning fee.

My anxiety levels were definitely elevated on my wedding day. To the point it was hard for me to have fun because I noticed things moving so slow.

I have 13 days left. It’s starting to feel really real and I’m so nervous. I’m mostly worried about the flow of everything and the moment the door opens and I have to walk out with everyone looking at me.

On the line of introverts, someday I'll be the bride but I just... don't particularly care?? Not in a bad way, its just the prospect of planning puts me off, I've never dreamed about a wedding or a dress or whatever. Have you ever dealt with brides like this? I know the unfortunate stereotype that grooms do this but what if its both of us??
@je7788 Жыл бұрын
Elope! If we had to do it over, we both agree, we'd elope. Especially if you don't particularly care! We're both introverts and we only had close to 30 people there all day, it was still a lot. Our friend's actually pulled through way more for us than our families did too so, there's that. Elopements are way cheaper too, generally.

I’m so thankful for your videos. I’ve been watching them for the past year getting ready for my daughters’s wedding. No matter what each video is about, I have found at least one or two things in each video that have been useful.

I helped plan events for our church. Like 2,000 people kind of events. We fed people buffet style in about 40 minutes. It was the best training for planning my wedding.

I’m getting married October 2024. we have most of our big details figured out it’s just the small stuff and then getting everything arranged. 😅 and we aren’t even having a big wedding it’s going to be like 50-75 people maxx. and we aren’t doing a bridal party/groomsmen. 😅

With wedding planning my anxiety comes from other people telling me I should be a ball of stress … we still have 9 months until our wedding and I’ve been planning/organizing since January 2022 so I’ve spaced it out but they are making me think like I’m forgetting things 😭 also being forced to have a bridal shower…. I’m very stressed about the shower I dont want one lol

My Dad's, Mom's and step mom's are very seperate families from each other. My mom thinks highly of my stepmom. My stepmom dislikes my mom. I have no idea how to seat everyone without snubbing/offending somebody.

I am so anxious about if my ceremony is going to be awkward because it's only going to be like the people in the wedding and then 6 people watching. I don't understand where I will stand on the beach and when to walk and if I should use music. Ahh :(

My mom died in April this year, it was an unexpected and sudden medical issue and she was only 64. Since my mom's funeral I've gotten engaged and we've just booked a venue for November 2024. I'm so nervous I won't be able to keep my composure enough during the day to even get my make up on or get through my vows without bawling my eyes out from how much I'll be missing her. Any other brides here who had to deal with getting married after the death of a parent?
@mbrady910 Жыл бұрын
I wrote this on another comment, but you could have a large picture of her on the chair she would be sitted. We are getting married in oct, and instead of doing remembrance photos, we are doing a remembrance speech, before the other speeches. We liked this better so we were able to think of and remeber them in the moment, instead of photos that could be over looked over all the stress and rushing of the day. We are doing the remembrance speech first, then the other speeches, so it doesnt end sad. I would have someone else, maybe the dj if they are mc, read it, and not anyone that is already giving a speech or could get very emotional with emotions already running high. Then they can open it up to all the other speeches. This is what we are essentially doing. Hope this helps and gives you some ideas.
